Any one else think orks are less fun to play now?

    Ahaha I think they were commenting on me, I had 12k exp in that game with regular Choppa axe Slugga boy. Still strong but not OP like before patch <3
  3. Yeah man I agree with you, but you can't deny that being clumsy and easy to kill as an ork goes with the 40k lore.

    Personally I haven't had much problems with the changes. I need to watch my posotioning better when solo engaging 2 or 3 enemies so I don't get backstabbed but hey, dats a git gud problem.

    I've traded my axe choppas for chain choppas with lifesteal although I still perform well with the axes anyways.

    The only thing that truly frustrates me is when the d-bash doesn't work, hopefully they'll fix it soon.

    Only bolter porn says orks are easy to kill. Most other lore shows them being extremely tough to kill requiring absurd amounts of overkill, massive numbers of elite troops with good weapons (still not a gaurenteed win), overwhelming armor superiority, or insanely lucky things to happen.

    In fact I'd say after necron orks are possibly the hardest thing to kill. Including a SM. SM die pretty easy if shot just right but an ork can survive half his head being blown off and replaced or getting cut in half and still fighting on. Only the bolter porn books have orks dying in droves due basic dmg.

    Btw I seriously hope you dont think something like the space marine game is even remotely close to 40k lore accuracy. A lot of people I have met seem to think it is and that just makes me hate that game for what it caused more and more.

    WEll ive given up, if it isnt the constant bitching of some people

    its the fact we are not fixed and all the other small things so i will wait till the next patch now before playing orks again

    its not like i havnt been in matches and won but lack of team play frustration and constant people whining and moaning instead of playing has done it for me,

    so my fellow orks good luck and hope you have a better time then what im having with them,
  7. i play as a painboy mainly... you wanna talk about less fun. I gotta chase you gits around trying to heal cuz i stop moving when heal animation kicks in, I LOSE any melee battle I get into head on, If i get the drop on you tho, you're done for.


    I'll sit ere and twiddle my thumbs, waiting for Dark Millennium to be developed by another dev team. ET seems to have caught the dreaded "THQ SpaceMarine" virus.

    I win quite a lot without needing the jump as a Painboy. You just have to dbash and roll around to find the enemy's back. In fact, I win quite a few 2v1s on account of poison. Painboy is one of the more reliable melee classes, so maybe you're not approaching it right.
  9. Melee is broken on all the factions yes. But I dont understand the whining on "why we charge attack so slow" or "lunge was fine on the klaw why the Nerf".
    Yes, I may not be a dedicated melee player, I'm focused on shoota and mostly only on that, but my rokkit + 2 plasma nades can wreck vehicles (not as fast as a melta, but the Nerf is incoming!). Plus the shoota does nasty things on 20 meters if you can handle the recoil.
    Right now the only thing that I see unfair is the melee on other factions, mainly chaos and loyalist with their crazy fast attack range.
    And in a more general problem, the d-bash not punishing the fast attacks, making slow weapons such as axes and clubs not the best at swords.

    What bothers me is that any balance currently in game is just a random chaotic mess and the reason that the factions are even this close to each other on the map is just because some OP mechanics support rest of those half developed stillborn travesties of a released game mechanics. Lets put everybody on the same line and remove any ranged AoE weapons and see how the map changes. Not towards LSM or CSM that's for sure. That's because all these "we're making you special by adding this and that" promises don't mean A THING when there are game breaking mechanics still on the table and those are not addressed at all.

    I'm not actually calling for removing any weapons from the game tho. What I mean is if you give some faction I win button and their everything else is just broken glitchy crap or so UP/boring/so not worth it compared to something else that it's a joke to even play it you can still get numbers that show that the faction is doing great, even if the faction feels like horsesh*t to play and only way to compete is to use that OP mechanic. Then when the OP mechanic supports some other player behavior or stat or what ever they nerf those supported things too as they show up on the data even if that nerf is not really relevant or needed at all. This is what happened to Orks. I cant understand how they can miss this, they even said "no hasty conclusions" and "we're analyzing the data we got carefully before making any changes". It feels like somebody on a key role is lacking any understanding on how things interconnect without being necessarily mechanicwise linked at all.

    It's just one patch, sure, but reality is it's few days for month from release and look at this game! It's not that reassuring when month after launch devs still go zig zag with their balance fixes and some of the core elements are still missing or utterly broken. The change EC had to redeem itself right after launch is way gone, after launch is burning fast (month is a loooong time at the current market) and way after launch is starting to get ever closer. And that is too late to survive. bE needs to either do some epic fixing super fast or start converting mechanics to F2P (yay we got the shop already, most important thing done!) and relaunch as a free to play game as soon as tactfully possible, maybe 3 months after console release or something.
