Alienware tends to over-price everything. I don't know what to think about Steam machines. I personally can't stand Linux and from what I heard Steam OS will be a form of Linux (I could be wrong about this, feel free to correct me). Steam machines = computer parts put into a small tower. Something you can carry around with you and connect to the TV. In other words, they are monitor-less laptops. I don't hate the idea behind them because it is simply an alternative. Nothing wrong with selling different versions of the same service. You can buy a PC in parts, ready to go or... in the form of a "Steam machine" now. Just another option. Some of the offers are bad, others are acceptable. Having a console-style PC is a nice idea... too early to tell if it is a good one.
