I'm currently debating on an experience system. Where you can get points for certain actions which you can then spend towards a class our equipment unlock. Thoughts?
I personally would like to add another Rpg aspect besides the simple run missions for traits/flaws. Any ideas on how that could be done better? I have no problem running in the same style as DW or SF if that style is preferred, just think perhaps some more rpg elements and character building might be desired.
I like the idea of an experience system Lay out certain classes of objectives, then give a set exp reward for each type? Give ranks/classes whatever sort of cost they need perhaps? -Shrugs- Always like having currency to spend.
Ok. Well then we prefer to do it the old fashioned way or anything that anyone would like to add? As this is planning said experience system can be tweaked if anyone has ideas to make it work.
Ok if we get objectives and their EXP / Reward layout beforehand.... then it would be okay. Like: Primary Objective - Purge the heretics: 500 XP - for all if successful. Secondary Objective - Free Civilians: 10xp per freed civilian (only for the one who frees them) EDIT: But no Shenanigans or 'surprise' XP rewards because someone killed a boss (except the boss was listed in secondary objective, but then every major actor and not just killer should get reward)
Allow me to make something based off the Deathwatch base manuals deal~ Primary Objective Completion= 300xp [Kill the Warboss] Secondary= 150 exp [Blow up the Vehicle Pool] Tertiary=50 exp [Kill the Wierdboy] Pretty much what Urian said above. Then ya of course have rewards for excellence in roleplaying, proper portrayal of an Order beyond what's expected or hell even mini player objectives that reward small amounts of EXP. Like Vow to Guard: Took a blow that would of perhaps killed another players character [Only rewarded once for like 50 exp] ect ect? Rough idea there
