But "Holy Trinity" isn't really about dedicated supports. It's about having a fixed team composition that has no alternatives. While Bonesinger the way I described him is a dedicated support, he is entirely optional, but can be used in interesting strategies. Furthermore, I would argue that the concept of non-combat utility classes isn't that alien to EC - Lascannon Devs/Havocs are free kills when you get up close, their entire role is to hunt down vehicles(while Lascannon sniping is a thing, I wouldn't consider it enough to classify them as combat-capable class). I also can't see how Spiritseers can be implemented. From what I can tell, they have absolutely nothing to do with normal vehicles. Their proficiency lies entirely in communicating with the spirits of the dead Eldar and extracting them from Infinity Circuit/installing them into Wraithbone constructs. So making them into Tech class that can heal vehicles sounds pretty weird(granted, it won't be the first thing that doesn't make sense lore-wise). But even that aside, Spiritseers are essentially Warlocks. So how would they be different combat-wise?
Just how there are nobody who plays Lascannon? I agree that you probably won't find a lot of people who would want to play Bonesinger in a pub, I can easily see pre-mades making good use of them. There are enough people willing to play a utility role if it has enough impact(for example, there are people willing to play dedicated drivers that do nothing but driver transports around, only because it lets their guild win games).
I don't know as much as you, but bE said they have plans on ranks up to level 10, so its pretty safe to assume it'll be rank 6 unlock. LC still have some limited AI use in sniping devs off the walls or evaporating noob shieldbros though, I mean, bonesinger could be viable, if focus and impact of vehicles was increased as it would be the class of choice to drive them, but with how limited vehicles are, its not much of a possibility. Maps would pretty much need to be adjusted to these new dynamics and I can't see that happening anytime soon(however that still might be a possibility). My forum me is about as subtle as Kharn the Betrayer in the middle if imperial guard regiment Though, I attack arguments, not people
Bonesingers could heal infantry too, just armour though. Just food for thought. Here's the options imo: - Heal infantry armour (no) - Make webway gates - Make mobile turrets! YOU don't fight, but your little grav-platforms fight for you!
If he's a powerful enough support, definitely. I honestly think @Redthirst 's bonesinger would be too strong. Locking down caps, even if it's on a massive cooldown, would be a game changer for Eldar. And there's no reason he can't take a pistol. He has no profile yet. Heck, give him a shuriken catapult.
The problem with Bonesingers is they don't enter combat. DoW gave them a sword/knife. That's the best they could get. With how anal GW is about Eldar, they wont get better than a knife.
Well, they also had the ability to Teleport in DoW. I could live with a "knife" if I could teleport around and heal vehicles
While that is impressive, that's not exactly intended and that's not what everyone does. It's still an AV weapon first and foremost, and most of the time you aren't fighting monkeys that can't dodge a bright laser of doom. So a lot of the time, you are staying out of combat.
