Dear (awesome) Team, ...I know that this question might come a bit too early... but I hope it still might give you some suggestions. Will there be more than >only Imperial< buildings, fortresses etc. and different terrains (like different climatic zones)? I (and I'm sure not only me) like the idea of... ancient ruins, like... remains of fromer Eldar colonies... vast Chaos temples of former secretive cults, remains of former Ork colonies and especially a concealed Necron Tomb Worlds below the own feet. A few labyrinths at Chaos temples and Necron Tombs would give it an extra creepy aura. Oh and weather... we all want a nice thunderstorm, if the Night Lords appear don't we? and maybe some... "soft Warp Storms"... what else... snow, rain, fog etc. AH, and don't forget volcanic landscape and much more. I would love to see that in-game, or that you at least think about it. Suuure it's a looot of work... but you could also add some of this stuff in a >>FREE <<<-DLC. Take all the time you need to improve this game. I already saw some teaser and have to say: Keep up the good work! YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION/ ON THE RIGHT WAY! Lots of love, your Soulbreath
1. Arkhona is a world of the Imperium, hence the buildings only being Imperial. However it is planned that these bases get decorated according to the owner (at 51:45). View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyrjqai5wLs 2. 11. Weather effects. Will we have them? If not then why? it would in my opinion be a great way to alter the dynamics of battle. Sniping through a sandstorm hah! BRENT ELLISON: At the moment, this is a “we want them, but we’ll see” situation. Some weather effects are easier to produce than others! http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/q-a-answers-compilation-thread.32349/page-2 Scrolling down this State of the Crusade V, you can see in the 4th picture "Warp Storms" as the conditions on the battlefield. https://www.eternalcrusade.com/news/502-State-Of-The-Crusade-V
An imperial world does not rule out the presence of old weathered Eldar ruins or temples leading to underground levels. Some imperial cities were build upon Eldar ruins...see the book Overfiend from David Annandale were Eldar of Saim-Hann are fighting "together" with Space Marines of the White Scars, Salamanders and Raven Guard against Orks to prevent the fall of an imperial city....and in the end save the whole galaxy (yeah totally 40k ^^)
Aye im aware of that, it can be a Tomb World as well for all intents and purposes. What i linked was their reasoning why they wont venture into things that arent Imperial structures for the world design in general. They mention HQ's being a possible exclusion.
Well... just as I wrote: I would love to see that in-game, >or that you at least think about it.< I'm sure that this game will also become awesome without all those extras, that can be too much work. I just hope, that I can help to... "maybe improve" a bit, with my suggestions, because Eternal Crusade ia a project, that works together with the fanbase (and really understands it's fanbase ). We all have those phases were we can't hold our ideas back... even if they're total nonsene, to much of a dreamworld or a total bad idea. It's just that I love variety in games and a fitting atmosphere is one of the most important things to me. Free DLC's would be perfect in my opinion, if this is too much work for the main part of the game. Otherwise we have to do it with mods... AAAAAAH and by the way mods, what about >map-editors?< Is it already sure, that a map-editor is planed?
Just to clear the air, i was just linking your their stance/response on the subjects. If you are asking me, damn straight id love to see allot more. Especially things like the hidden Chaos temples on Arkhona in which foul practices were conducted in the name of the Dark Gods, if you played Diablo 1 and 2 (1st and 3rd acts mostly in 2) something like that, rituals and sacrifices littered about. Fingers crossed for post-launch, heck we are only starting on one continent on launch, theres gonna hopefully be allot more expansion of the world (very early they were mentioning something around 4 continents).
