Ok I have 2 questions that I believe can be answered with facts that I could not locate on the FAQ, and one that is more an opinion. 1.) I read that within the waves there will be mini waves depending on the date in which you bought the game. Does that include the $120.00 option. I want to support the game and be there from the start, and just want to know what to expect spending that much. Will I be able to play day one of the alpha release at open, or have to wait a bit due to holding off buying. 2.) I want to have characters for multiple factions, when it comes to space marines I played black templars in the table top version. I know they are not a currently playable chapter, however do any chapters within game now have an option to be black with white? 3.) This is the opinion question. Orcs are by far my favorite race in 40k, and my main will be an orc. However with everyone having paid for early release and the orcs being free at full release, do you believe not many people will play orcs during alpha and beta?
1) There are 3 waves, Captains and above are the first, then Sergeants are second, and Warriors third. Another thing to note is that theres a "first come first serve" policy as well. So if you buy a Captain pack today that will put you on the end of the list of the first wave entries. You will still be in the 1st wave though, and will get in before the Sergeants and Warriors. 2) No, no chapter has a black and white option, and the devs have little desire to let people stray from their original chapter colors. There has been some talk of successor chapters being added through the store, though that is a giant maybe and i wouldnt hold my breath for it. If it does come to pass, Imperial Fists are in, so Black Templars could be a possibility. 3) Orks will not be free, they will have a option to play for free, but this will be very limited. Before they removed the page on the F2W from the site it has been said your progression will be limited, you will only have access to basic classes (so no elites/heroes) and if memory serves the only vehicle at your disposal will be a Trukk, once a day. So being a paying Ork customer has giant benefits over the F2W.
1) with 120$ you are in the first wave but its also first come first served, so you may not play from day 1 but in wave 1 for sure 2) all color options will be from the choosen subfaction so you cant make you a black templar 3) wez will be lotz! no medda if alfa or betta!
the only chapter that have a black color is only the dark angels second company ravenwing, but we don't know how much chance we have to play a second company dark angel.
You could play Ulthwe For Question 3: As said, its limited F2P. But if we look at polls, yes Orks are last in Founder Population.
The closest you cant get to black with a space Marine, is if they allow the Dark Angles do have a black skin. As they have the Ravenwing.
The concept for the F2P orks is currently that they won't be available immediately at launch but a couple of months after launch when the initial population peak is over and populations start falling. Nathan doesn't want to fill the servers up to the max with F2P orks when he could have paying customers instead.
