So I was looking at the tactical and the apothecary. The tactical has a unique item based on its class, the capture tool. It costs nothing and is directly linked to the class' use in the battlefield. Then I looked at the apothecary. Their class item costs 100 LP. Fair's fair, the Apothecary can definitely use their class item in more situations. It is infinitely more useful than a capture key in any situation except point capping. But could a cheaper vial option be a good thing? What I mean is a vial that does not have an extra effect and only heals. Maybe it could be at 1/2 or 3/4 the LP cost of the current basic vial with heal over time? Painboyz of course get a similar vial. It would be better for those healers seeking a more aggressive role in combat by allowing them to get a little more LP for weapons or survivability. What do you think? Should there be a cheaper vial option that comes with nothing but a filled healthbar?
Every other support class has to pay for their ability to heal. Why should apothecaries get it for free?
Vials are already strong and I find Apothecary on the whole has it easy when it comes to wargear prices and options with the only problem being forced pistols. Maybe for Orks, maybe
The very moment apo bolter will cost 500LP. Basic vial is 100lp. Just like every single other basic support heal.
Welcome to the World of Psykers, where you not only pay at least 100LP for your Spell, but should also pay either 120LP or 150 LP for more or faster recharging Warpcharge, so you can... you know... heal and such. As long as the Apothecary can use a Bolter he doesn't need anything cheaper in my opinion, and i also play Apothecary myself. The only one i would be ok with if he finally get's something is the poor painboy
I didn't say for free. And I don't play the psyker supports as often. I play them sometimes and I do alright with them, but I notice a few issues with them as well (like the branched off heals of hysterical frenzy healing jack shit). I'm more "qualified" to talk about the supports that need to inject their victi-I mean patients, so I brought them up here. As soon as I think of something for the psykers I'll be sure to tag you so you know.
Apothecary doesn't need any more help. He is already back to his old self as a rampaging super-tanky self-healing tactical.
Keep in mind that the above poll doesn't specify apothecary only. I may alter the vote to include a painboy only option. Stand by please.
