*Geron closed the locket of his girlfriend and stood no much to do from his post the murder hole to fend off the ork threat he aimed waiting for the orks to be in range he started counting the horde*

"May the Emperor guide my shots, and Lilith I'll come home I promise... 1, 2,4,8...."

"do not falter, theses orks bleed like any other foe, we have survived worse" as the comisar spoke she waited for the orks to get close

    -Techero Binalt,Sharpshooter. "Owl 1"

"Perfectly clear,sir!"-responded the sniper curtly and sharply to his officer`s orders.Just as a good Guardsman would do.At least in front of the Commissar.
Not much was found in the outpost...nothing exactly...
But there was high ground...and that was more then enough for him.As the men came and took their positions, heavy weapons team installing nests on the towers,Techero lurked around, trying to find suitable position.

Angela willed the enemy.Techero did too.He didnt want the good men and women of the Guard to die...but he was here to kill Orks...to help liberate this world. That required sacrifice and hopefully not his.Tho if it was his,he will take as many bastards with him as possible.Oh...and for the Emperor of course.

With a quick survey around the outpost,he found a metal ladder snaking up to one of the towers.Probably an emergency exit from the towers top.
Without a second to waste,Techero started climbing on the tower, the rust coloration of the ladder thick on his glove and the sense of iron strong in his nostrils. For a second he thought it a bad idea, the ladder might give way and he would fall down without killing any of the Orks.An inglorious death, especially for a sniper who is expected to take out a high-value targets.Binalt sighted and continue to climb, until he came to a shaky wooden-plank platform that circled around the tower`s hip, like a short hip-level dancing skirt. One of those skirts that revealed more then actually hid. That made a dirty smile on Techero`s face as he knew girls back on Ruvorn that wore those skirts.Damn...he loved that establishment in which the women and men worked.Almost as he loved Angela.Almost...

Priorly testing the platform with his foot,he stepped on it,prone now on the platform, looking toward the tunnel. It was a great view...a view that would be far fraking better if there was more light. But that worked in his favor also...there was no lumen-globe on his position. He is practically invisible here...

Getting Angela from his back,Techero looked down her sight, adjusting his aim.Looking up he saw the long barrel on the top of the tower, protruding like a pole without a banner.Heavy weapons teams seem in place and ready...
Unsheathing one of the clips from his belt he fed Angela with fresh ammo.

Drums.Drums echoed in the depths that only the miners saw.Fraking Orks.Fraking barbarians.No!Animals!.Damn i need some of that qash now.Well...sooner we get this done the better.
Judging that there was too little light for him to see down the tunnel,Techero pulled down the three-eyed red lenses that were always on his helmet.Thermal bathed everything in red and orange...and there was a whole lot of fraking orange down the tunnel.
Techero tensed as he looked down his sniper-sight.He breathed long and deep - aiming preparation. He did it a thousand times before and he hoped he`ll do it again.

He heard Commissar-lady down below shouting something and Platoon Leader Oskar up on the gates, standing, challenging orks to come and fight. The bloke looked fraking glorious, with his bolt-pistol in one hand and power-glove in the other. In that moment Techero was sure that,Platoon Leader Oskar would end up in one of those recruitment posters.Even if he had to bloody paint him on it.

Artyom was actually frightened by the drumming. It was more then unnerving to hear the marching of the Orks, as if they didnt care that they were making themselves known to all. A quote from his unofficial Ork manual stated "The Orks are simple, not stupid. Do not underestimate there craftiness.". It worried him even further, the Orks could have a plan or numbers grand enough to let the enemies know they are approaching.

"Get me the coordinates for this damn tunnel and the surrounding area. Martin, be ready to call down a barrage if necessary. Expect danger close!" Artyom barked through the Vox. He took some higher ground, giving him a better point of view of the upcoming battle and when truly necessary to drop down the might of the Emperor's fury.

The First greenskin came to sight, the Platoon Leader himself taking the shot, deliering the bullet right into the big head of the fool who was leading the caravan, who in fact was one of the drum players. The music fell silent as the eyes fell on the Imperial Guard.

"KILL DE 'UMIEEEEZ! KILL 'EM GUD!" Another, bigger Ork announced and the mob roared a loud "WAAAAGH!" As they launched forward to the gate that the Platoon held.

"Owls, aim on Nobs, but leave their leader to me! Everyone else, Fire at Will!" Oskar Hochmann himself ordered, taking individual shots into the group, each finding an Ork but varying in severity. The Autocannons on each far end of the wall spat their ammunition into the Orks first wave. They moved quite fast for their size and would reach the wall already soon, but if they were less than a thousand they probably would not make it far anyway.

They had free access to killing whatever they liked, though the chaos and rapid movement would make it hard to really pick targets out, they could easily distinguish Nobs and Boys by their mere size and the fact that the Boys were around the Nobs, working as Meat Shields. At least a dozen Nobs in sight currently, one would assume more are to come. Each of them had a big meat cleaver and a relatively big gun, slightly bigger than a Bolter that somehow managed to shoot as rapid as an Autogun.

(each of you can kill any 2 Orks [Boys or Nobs])

The Bachs were still at the rear guard, Oskar knowing that if anything would flank them, they were the best chance on survival. Making the Heavy Weapons team on the towers being actually members of other squads. Nonetheless, he had the Veterans Mark and Gerontius with him - capable and talented men, armed with a steady grip and the mighty weapons of the Imperium, forged by the Adeptus Mechanicus, delivered by the Departmento Munitorum. Organization was one thing the Imperium was good at, and the Greenskins would soon learn that at first hand.

(each of you can kill any 6 Ork BOYS OR 1 Nob)

Squad #1 detached into two groups of five soldiers each, having taken position nearby the two Commissars as if in desire to impress them, or perhaps protect them. Either way, they were renown among the Platoon and the next best squad of the Platoon wanted to learn from them in-action.

Martin Falkenauge, the Vox-Caster would report the coordinates accordingly to Artyom. "Delta Quadrant, Sector Quantis, Tunnel Three." If he was to aid in combat or remain at his role of being a communicator was up to him. But both knew that Basilisks were at their disposal, especially since their first duty upon arrival was to clear out the position where the Basilisks now stood on the surface.

(each of you can kill any 4 Ork Boys; or 1 Ork Boy + Special action; Commissars = inspiring speech; Master of Ordnance = Artillery strike; Vox-Operator = reporting to other squads/platoons [this will result in reinforcements, but draw allies away from other points])

"Let none stand in our way, first rank fire" as she spoke she fired her bolt pistol blowing an orks head to mush as then the first two guards next to her fired into the oncoming horde "second rank fire" as she spoke the next three fired

Geron aimed at the horde and pressed on the trigger jammed he ducked behind cover to un-jam the Hellgun he carried "Why does it always do that is the spirit have something against me or something" Gerontius (OOC: go with Geron for short) thought but really the spirit was trying inspire him to fight harder which it has done.

OOC:Because you always have to have the hardships of battle.

And indeed, standing behind his cover, aiming down the sights Mark watched as the first Ork fell to Guardsmen bullet. As the beasts charged towards friendly lines, Veteran had plenty of targets to chose from, but he went with the most obvious one. Targeting the biggest specimen he could find, he opened fire with his bolter, the weapon smaller than some other issues used across the Imperium but still using the same ammo which penetrated Nob's skull with ease, splattering his brain matter all over his comrades. Mark smiled with satisfaction as he aligned his aim and focused his effort on survival now.

Martin Kept his lasrifle in front of him the orks began there charge. He raised his las rifle as he came but knew he needed to keep relaying information He fired off several shots and managed to bring down one of the ork boys charging there position. "Commissar Should I try to call in for some reinforcements!?" he yelled asking there nearest commissar." As he kept himself calm and his hand on his vox device.

The first wave was obliterated as they marched, causing a grin across the Platoon Leader. "Squad Two, reload. Squad Three, fire!" He ordered and so it happened. Another row of Orks falling, but something shifted among the Orks. Nobs moved on the front to guard the smaller Boys. What use would that have?

"KEEP FIRING! STOP THEIR ASSAULT THIS INSTANCE!" Oskar announced and sent a Bolt Projectile flying to a Nob who took the shot to the shoulder but kept on marching. They were quite determined to kill the Human defenders.

After putting one Nob to rest each, they could see that behind the Nobs were quite a lot of Ork Boys, but also for a moment some Gretchins were seen in between. But no clear spots could be made due to the big Nobs that blocked the entire visual field on the smaller Orkoids. if they could though shoot through one row of Nobs and get a clean view on them.... Perhaps that could give them an advantage and reveal the true agenda of this Orks tactic... If it was any. On the other hand, if it would not work, the Orks would reach the walls for sure on one side.

Gerontius' hellgun came back to life, roaring with anger. Perhaps it just was waiting for this moment to be capable of turning the tides of combat for good? Either way, his colleague Mark had a clean shot and threw some nearby Ork Boys off focus which caused chaos after their Nob died so easily, they tripped and fell on one another. Perhaps that was the key - to keep killing the Nobs so the smaller ones would cause chaos, allowing more room for the Heavy Weapon Teams to kill.

Speaking of Heavy Weapon Teams, the gunners looked toward the Commissars (@lord-watchman & @PorOborosCain ) as they noticed the change of flow and their team members reloaded and cooled the weapons. "Requesting Priority Targets!"

    ~~ Vox Caster - @Vulpas ~~
Screams of pain came through the Vox.
"Platoon One of the Third Company here! We are under heavy attack. The Orks used some sort of exploding Orks which they sticked to the walls! 50% Casualties! We need reinforcements!"
"Platoon Three here, affirmative Platoon One. Reinforcements coming your way."
It may not require Falkenauge to ask for sending reinforcements, but it was definitely tactical value he just gained.

(Everyone can kill 1 Nob, the Orks reach our position in 2 posts if they can't be stopped. Here is the first time where you can show how much teamwork you can deliver. I made it a bit obvious so you can get a taste for it.)
(And if I don't write about your team especially, then your name may appear in the middle of the text or just nothing special going on for you right now, so just keep going on! :))
