I think depth to weapon choices and skins is a must, really want to look different in any game I play and this more then most. Having different styles and feels is a lot what warhammer in essence is about.
Wait until the next wave of RT items then, if they are really no orky things, it will be the time to speak out loud. Now it's too late and too early at the same time: they must already now what to add this month, and you haven't seen what it was yet.
Doesn't it depent abit on the orks... I recall the one in DoW that wanted to collect hats/helmets for his pointy sticks (ok ok they are not weapons but still) so yeah they can want something.
Done my best to answer your questions, above in Orange, Some are purely humorous answers whilst others are pretty serious. Hope you don't mind and enjoy reading it!
Mos Most of those are wrong or miss the point. Imperial vehicles have no suspension. The tracks have no play and the road wheels are pinned right to the side armor. I mean a Eldar have a weapon the size of the heavy bolter. What I was going for is that other races can carry their weapons around, but the eldar haven't figured that part out yet. The ammo rack in a leman russ would leave about 4 shots. There are very few pictures of marines with ammo pouches. There are very few pictures of marines aiming, with almost all firing from the hip. The Black Sword having a larger warhead and less damage makes no sense. The list goes on.
Its all pretty objective and open ended as its a table top game after all. Good to see people using their imaginations I say!
I wouldn't call the Tavor a "traditional" bullpup (interestingly enough, it's magazine well accepts standard M16/AR15 magazines), but Dark Angels have had the only bullpup weapon thus far in the Lion's Wrath. I think they were going for the SA80 or the AUG Steyr.
Heh, and we wonder why GW lore is so messed up. And yes, the thing about the LR barrel not being to scale is correct. Much like the Bolter, the Leman Russ' cannon is portrayed out of scale in all official artwork. Either that or the Leman Russ is actually a surprisingly tiny tank. Despite looking like the KV2's 152mm derpgun, the Battle Cannon is actually a 120mm smoothbore cannon. In other words, it's an Abrams cannon that fires HE instead of tungsten APFSDS. Ironically this implies that an Abrams would probably hold up surprisingly well in the 41st millenium. This is what a 120mm gun looks like on a real life tank, note the guys on top for scale: The first and most obvious thing is that the bore is a good deal smaller than the guy's head. The Abrams is 7.93m long, 3.66m wide, and 2.44m tall. A Leman Russ is allegedly 7.08m long, 4.86m wide, and 4.42m tall. So its gun should more or less look the same size, but it doesn't because GW. So yes, this does mean that GW apparently has no idea what 120mm looks like. Though at this point they probably can't change it because people would go "What happened to the LR? Why is its gun so tiny?" Though I guess they could retcon it to something larger like 152/155mm or 170mm and nobody would notice. Similarly, the Basilisk is allegedly 132mm (meaning its shells shouldn't be any more difficult to store/load than a modern 155mm howitzer) but is scaled more like a 170mm or 210mm. So in general GW has a hard time with scale.
You know you sound very familiar. You wouldn't be the Lord-Inquisitor guy that got band from the forums now would YOU?
