Assault get shot out of the sky every day in Space Marine. I pluck them out of the sky with my lascannon... it's not hard to shoot clay... This is a shooter.. and people will be able to hit you because there are people who live and breathe these games.
True at one point but in Space Marine you only have small maps and maximum 16 players. Its easy to focus on single targets since you do not have such a high pressure and most of the time only 1 front line you are forced to focus one. Now facing an approaching army with tank and ground and air support and being forced to make some sort of last stand while left and right to you the Assaults lift of- this is something different.
Blood Angel sergent, deep strike marine squad, in dreadnought terminator armour, equipped with a power sword and a stormbolter. No helmet. Purity seals, BA marks to honor the chapter as to inspire my brothers. Let come the tyranids or whatever : I'll stand my ground, deep in enemy lines. or/and ^^ Lugganath (or Ulthwe since Lugganath will unlikely be featured for release) warlock with a witch blade and lightnings for range, rune armor and offensive aoe as movement psykic powers. I'll led my followers to victory with talent and alacrity.
My favorite Space Marine from back in the day when I used to play Deathwatch with my buddies: Artificer Armor with Teleportation Homer Pre-Heresy Jump Pack Hate and Fear, two Power Fists with integrated Meltas (for when my punches need to splatter bits of melted enemy everywhere) Power Feet, for making additional Power Fist attacks on Assault Jumps Stumpgrinder Horseflopper, a two-handed Thunder Hammer with integrated Teleportation Pack so I may throw it and/or ditch it at my leisure without losing it Was it stupid? Sure. Was it hilarious? Absolutely. I highly doubt that I'll even be able to get any of the things on that list, but hey, maybe.
Well we all know what I would be, but alas no Grey Knights . So I'd choose Kaldor's setup, but as a Blood Angel. For EC I want to be: Blood Angel Terminator Assault Squad Stormshield + Stormbolter + Powersword Cape All the shinies! EDIT: If possible I'd like to keep that weapon setup while not being a terminator. Obviously I will be changing roles - Assault/Devastator/Tactical as needed (if thats in the game mechanics)
