Your experience playing as Eldar?

I thought 7th Edition codex changed the Seer Council to its own HQ unit and the Warlock is just a Guardian/Wind-Rider squad upgrade?

Having played both as and against Eldar a bit now, I pretty much agree with what's being said here. The Dark Reaper's launcher's charge-up time and projectile speed is far too slow. Since they have fluff and crunch supporting "Eldar style" targeting computers, I would recommend giving then a "ghost reticle" that gives a rough estimation of where to shoot to hit a target on the move (an example of this can be found in Halo: Reach when you pick up a Covenant weapon as an Elite). Evades need to carry farther and have more available. Movement speed needs to be faster, even for a crouched Striking Scorpion so they can get into position faster. Ranged weapon accuracy needs to be tightened up across the board, especially for Eldar to reflect their superiority with ranged weapons (imo, spread for their weapons needs to be almost nil).

Effective range of Avenger Shuriken Catapults must be increased, preferably through the accuracy fix mentioned above. On the table the ASC is fully effective at 18" while the Bolter is only that effective at 12", which means the Avenger should have the advantage in a mid-to-long-range firefight.

In my opinion, the Eldar would fair much better with another capture class. Eldar have the single most character classes in the game (and the roster isn't even full), yet only have one capture class. I guess that's technically true for the other factions, Chaos has melee-capable variant of their "capper". But with so much enforced diversity, I strongly recommend a second capture class for the Eldar in addition to tweaking and tuning the DA. My suggestion for a point capturing Warlock stands.

Eldar currently handle like Orks, and that certainly should not be the case.

Another big problem isn't even with the Eldar: lock-on melee. It simply has to go. Lock-on is only checked by poor players, and skilled players become godly. If Eldar are meant to be vulnerable to melee, and with the lock-on force-multiplier making the Assault classes "One Punch Man," no amount of tuning will help the Eldar.

The SC is definitely more of a short to medium ranged weapon. I just want it's headshot damage to go from 16max damage to 18 max damage.

Don't forget about being able to brace it as well!! Tired of having to run out in the open to shoot the damn thing.

Oh I was talking about the catapult, but yeah, bracing it would be nice. You can actually brace the RL on things, but it will often times kill you.

After 3 days of playing Eldar only (roughly between 2-5 hours a day) I can say that I'm getting the hang of them and they do have a lot of potential.
Having said that they are very limited as of now and a lot of tweaks need to take place before this faction is ironed out to its true nature and ofcourse regarding the balance of the game.
I think the main problems are: The accuracy - they don't seem superior in that field to other faction, quite the contrary, they seem almost Orkish in their aim.
Damage output is a problem with that faction, I think everyone can agree on that - its simply ridiculous having fired with shuriken cannon from a 10 meter distance and it takes about 4-5 seconds constant fire (not a single miss) before any marine goes down.
This might be solved with buffed accuracy or a little tweak with damage that some weapons do.
The most annoying bugs at the moment for me are: Any grav tank falls into epileptic seizure almost every time I spawn one making it impossible to drive, go anywhere or even fire.
Grenade throw animation lock is waaay too long on every class, this leaves you in about 2-3 second window of not being able to do anything - a great opportunity for an enemy for an easy kill.
Destructor on Warlock doesn't seem to do anything at this stage, I don't think it's working at all.
Dark reaper launcher is actually quite good once you put some time into learning how to use it most effectivly, but the time it takes to fire a volley of full clip (charged) doesn't seem fair - by the time I empty my clip even a daft player can down me with autocannon or a turret before I empty my clip, which seems a little unfair compared to plasma cannon.
Thats about it from main issues from my experience of Eldar.
I do look forward to release of banshees and swooping hawks to see how they will play out, and I think Eldar need another class being able to cap points, since other factions have 2 out of 5 classes being able to cap, while Eldar would have 1 out of 7 classes (including banshees and hawks) being able to cap? Not fair at all, especially when we need to sacrifice more players in order to have every class working in the field.

I'm really patient and understanding because Eldar just left founders servers and its their 3rd day on early access.
I wasn't around for the first days of Space Marines or Chaos so I can't relate to how far they made it since the first scratch.
Even in this sorta mangled state that they are I still enjoy playing Eldar and with a good team we're able to pull some wins.
    Looking forward to improvments!

Eldar in this current version do not move any faster than Marines with the exception of climbing. We are essentially just worse versions of the Marine factions right now. It's not about practice it's about our classes and faction as a whole not working correctly and being unfinished.

I played a little bit as a Dire Avenger, when the lag permitted, and my take is that the avenger shuriken catapult needs to get an accuracy buff, and probably fire a decent deal faster. These weapons are able to fire in bursts of hundreds of shurikens in but a moment, in game it's just too slow. To kill a space marine, you need to get a ton of shots on target, and it's hard to do that amidst the bad accuracy, poor damage per shot, sluggish rate of fire, and lag. The weapon needs to be able to hit or get its shots out faster, preferably a mix of both.

Honestly, with how poorly Eldar are playing so far (I know teamwork wise they are good, and so are they at suppression/holding an area.) I kind of just wish GTA "Wasted" text appears over the screen whenever I die, or Dark Soul's "You died"... just so I can feel better about being absolutely rekt by the mlg mehren.

Shit, just pick the dragon and spam fire on marines. Melta is so damn broken right now for everyone its not even funny, but the dragon's seems the strongest to me. Maybe its the flippy dodge or something.

Or just not let you look down far enough to fire.
