    This thread is being processed today people, as I mentioned on Twitch today. I'm ecstatic over the reception here and we'll take a look at what comes out of it on the next Twitch. Enjoyable read.

  4. Okay, I must say that when this game was first announced, I, more-or-less, hope for a tweaked Space Marine game on a more massive scale and more stable server. peer-to-peer killed that game. That is it. Everything else was awesome. Almost every issue I list I can compare how SM did it right. I will note, I have been saying damn near the same things since the very first little alpha/founder play.


    1) Guns revolutionized warfare, while melee weapons are very dangerous in melee, getting into melee in a gunfight is a challenge. Rarely in this game does anyone fear charging into SM ranged weaponry of any type, be it bolters, heavy bolters, tank weaponry, etc...


    2)The autocannons for chaos have less spread and recoil, more accuracy and damage than I think anything. Abbadd0n's Grace is ridiculous. I can use aim on any weapon in the game and not even compare to it. That weapon can reach out and touch someone like a true damage sniper rifle, I mean it is like you see a red pointer across the map , just shoot at it and if you touch it (which you probably will) it dies.


    3) Dammit guys, I told you from the beginning that melee in Space Marine is the way to go. This lock on system, while nice is just too much for everyone else. And due to low damage and accuracy of ranged weapons and inability to recover and outmaneuver a melee, ranged just gets wreck. In Space Marine, while difficult, a skilled player could roll out and either knife fight or kite and shoot the assault (really,only with storm bolter and melta, but it could be done). And the devestators could ...


    4) use a defensive kick and weapon bash. I have seen skilled devestators time their kicks and bashes and defeat a lesser skill or skilless assault. In EC all the heavies are just fucked if a melee gets on them. Mainly due to you allowing the lockon and autofacing. Hey, I get it, if no lockon, then the melee can wind up lost and all over the place, but that is part of it. That is part of non-assaults out-thinking and out-maneuvering assaults and then being about to counter attack with their knife, their gun, or well-placed grenade.


    5) Recoil. I believe in your pursuit of trying to be realistic in this area, you have again screwed ranged players and aided the melee. Your recoil and super-sensitive laser mouse is a LOT of misses. Now this one just might be me. But you know, everyone except the eldar are REALLY strong. SM and orks are some big boys, they can handle recoil very well. Much better than use mere mortals. Even when using bracing or pintel mounted weapons, it is crazy tough to down running targets. You could line up 3 Hbolters braced against a CSM assault, with current system, terrain, and regen, more often than not they can just charge on in and then wreck all 3 devs. No one should be able to charge a tank from 50 meters and not fear the storm bolter or shuriken cannon.

    6) Eldar grav tanks... tired of hearing about this one yet? I think they are great, however, the current mechanic can be abused. Do not change the vehicle, change how a grav tank damages the players. A normal tank weighs 40-60 tons, that will definitely squish a soldier, but the maybe have the grav tank just roll of people and not affect them at all or just do a small bit of damage.

    7) Heavy weapons need better places to set up. Some only one way in, one way out places with a damn ceiling so ANY ranged can shine. It is like you guys went completely out of your way to make sure ranged could not setup good sniping/bottleneck/killzone areas and also made sure that there was a billion ways to get above, below, behind everyone so the assaults would not bitch.

    8) Eldar Dark Reaper missle launchers....They suck. They need better accuracy, better damage, better sights/scope.

    9) Stalker bolter... needs better everything.

    10) RTC weapons kind've suck. I understand not wanting a pay to win model, but there definitely should be more reward for them, some customization. RTC cosmetic armour is way overpriced. I bought two "Captain's" founder packages back when EC was but a dream. $450 per game and I tell ya, I feel kind've burnt. I feel like $50 for each with everything I have now is still a stretch on value. Do not want pay to win, but you still want people to spend money, you got to find a way to put better value in your game and items.

    1. People are still getting 30fps and below. Fix it there is no reason that someone with an average computer should be getting less than 60fps just because they have an AMD processor or graphics card.
    2. Heavy Weapons don't have a way to defend themselves in melee. Give them a pistol and knife, so that they at least stand a chance against a Tac equivalent
    3. Heavy Weapon firing lanes are blocked by large pieces of terrain. Open up some of the firing lanes so that Heavy Weapons can defend locations without being thrust into melee.
    4. Heavy Bolter overheats to quickly making it impossible to suppress more then 1 enemy at a time. Lessen the heat buildup
    5. Melee weapons are loosing durability even when performing the proper melee counter. Remove weapon durability or fix it so that you only lose durability on a clang.
    6. Grenades are being thrown to the right of the intended area causing them to bounce off walls and windows when thrown. Correct the trowing animation.
    7. Camera angle makes it so that the enemy can see you before you can see them. Move the camera view closer to the center of the character.
    8. You can't combo melee attacks (eg. two fast attacks followed by a heavy attack) because there is a delay after the second fast attack before you can perform another melee maneuver. Remove the delay.
    9. Running people over with a tank is to easy. Remove the ability to road kill and make it stun the hit player and move him out of the way, or make it take multiple hits.
    10. You can catch up to a player that is running away just by fast attacking as a melee character. Shorten the travel distance of fast attack so that if someone wants to just run away they have that option.

    Make RTS skin only. I´m sitting on 100k points with nothing to buy because the RTS weapons are unmodable.

    No tyranids on the surface, use the pvp maps for cooperative pve missions, cap point A, cap point B,but with hordes, and warriors, and nids... like the lair, but on the surface,

    Btw should tyranids walk in walls and roofs in mean not only in the floor, i know they climb but would be nice to see them running fighting and even shooting over the top- not warriors but smallest ones

  8. 1: the matchmaking needs a bit more polish, it frequently pits 3 v 14 battles, and sometimes sends a full team against no one at all, letting them cap all the points before the other team even loads init needs to wait untill there are near even teams BEFORE starting.

    2: Dbash, it does not work, no, really, it doesint. not for orks at least, they are capable of damaging us with light attacks while we are doing it, it has little reach, and enemies are capable of rolling out of a stun, or jumping out, if they are assualt jumpers.

    3: broken weapons, i dont mean broken like"omg thats op broken" i mean they dont.work. certain variations of the rokket launcher, pokket rokket, and power klaw still dont work as intended.

    4: spawning issues , sometimes the spawn at c point in torias spawns you above the structure on an antenna, normally not a problem, but vehicles spawn there too, leading to trukks on the 2nd story of the building. other bugs like this almost certainly exist in other maps.

    5:turrets on vehicles clip off the vehicle ittself and sit there frozen in the middle of the street, you will frequently go past frozen predator sponsoons hanging in the air. same for trukk big shoota's.

    6:jump animations for loota's. when you jump off a ledge as a loota IE crawl over a fence into open air, you stand on air for a full second wiley e coyote style before finally starting to fall, giving any chasers an ample opportunity to swipe you from the ledge.

    If I remember correctly, they increase match sizes in factors of 8 due to coding, so it'll either be 8 on each side, or 16. In either case, that's definitely going to feel like a lot more.

    1. Optimization. I'm still getting pretty bad performance on the lowest settings, whereas I can max out MGSV on 60fps. I should at least be able to get 45fps on LOWEST settings.

    2. Guild based invite system. I want to be able to invite everyone in my guild to the current warparty, even if I don't have them in my friendslist. In fact, just let me inv people I don't have in my friendslist. But a big button that says "invite all guildmembers to current warparty" would be nice.

    3. Join a game through friend-list or guild-list. This feature would save so much headache.

    4. Fix the "frozen at loadingscreen" issue. Fix drops and disconnections.

    5. Class based balance. Tactical classes and ranged in general (outside of PC and Auto-Cannon) are still outclassed by melee. Melee classes are king right now.

    6. Faction balance. I won't get into this, but it deserves a spot on the list for obvious reasons.

    7. Please add a techmarine/mekboy/warpsmith as a basic class that can repair vehicles. A basic class that focuses on vehicles can incentives a lot of people to use them more.

    8. Let squad leaders able to lock vehicles. Buff the squad leader auras for all factions.

    9. Add a tutorial mode or something that teaches players how objectives can give more time if they haven't been capped yet.

    10. Make the Ultramarines blue a little bit more faded blue instead of this deep purplish blue that we have right now. If you want to know the shade of blue I am talking about, the game Space Marine did a pretty nice job. Something similar to that would look really good.
