Alright all arguing aside about the sorcerers, I just wanted to present yall with what would be an awesome scenario. Imagine joining a ongoing siege where the forces of chaos are going against the forces of some other faction, now imagine seeing a thick green fog enveloping the base. This fog would be generated by a Nurgle Sorcerer that is behind the siege lines generating a constant stream of that fog. All the enemy forces within the fortress would suffer from reduced line of sight and would suffer from weakened armor. While all Chaos force would be able to move on the fortress with few casualties. Just saying that seems like it would be an awesome scenario. Thoughts?
I was just thinking about that... Black legion is the only warband out of the 4 that they've announced that Nurgle would make the most sense in to me. As for the Word Bearers....Fuck those guys....
If you think that that's a big deal you should go see what we are cooking up here: http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/damage-over-time-dots.6925/page-2 But things like that just seem a little OP to me. I think that if anything something that could encompass an entire base should be part of a ritual of mutiple sorcerers, something that could be disrupted and take more than one dude.
Yeah it would be nice to see them implement a mechanic where multiple Sorcs can combine their power in a ritual (during which they cannot move or defend themselves) and cast some nasty things about. It would be prone to interruptions ofc so the Sorc coven would need diligent protection from other classes to not have anyone interrupt the long cast animation.
Or if it is interrupted, they all explode in a massive warp explosion. You know chaos and especially sorcery. Very High Risk High Reward sort of business.
Yeeeup! I mean, perils of the warp is already going to be an issue, so with a massive-scale ritual it should be almost assured if things go wrong
I'd personally enjoy a somewhat rare result of the spell failing and summoning countless warp beasts that will kill regardless of faction. The type of randomness that the warp is known for and all that fun stuff
I do like this idea, a lot. I just don't know how hard it'd be to spawn x-many AI enemies strong enough to actually make a difference versus a legion of Chaos Space Marines
