Who are you referring to? Slaanesh?
He has quite a nice combo of abilities which arent relegated to buffs and can be quite damaging:
    • Acquiescence: The Psyker engulfs his enemies with a haze of broken dreams and unattainable goals, leaving them distracted and ripe for slaughter.
    • Cacophonic Choir: The Psyker breathes in the power of the Warp and emits an ear-piercing chorus of screams that tortures those nearby and strips them of their sanity.
    • Lash of Submission: The sorcerer lashes out with a glowing whip of immaterial energy which snakes out from their hand. Those caught within its ethereal barbs are momentarily brought under the control of the psyker.
    • Lash of Slaanesh: A tongue-like whip of energy erupts from the Psyker, capable of shattering enemy forces.
    • Hysterical Frenzy: The Psyker chants goad his followers into a frenzy of activity, driving them to greater acts of sensation-seeking destruction.
    • Pavane of Slaanesh: The Psyker utters the forbidden dances of Slaanesh, forcing his opponents to jerk and spasm until their bones break.
    • Sensory Overload: The Psyker overloads the nervous and sensory systems of their enemies.
    • Symphony of Pain: Opening his mouth beyond normal limits, the psyker shrieks a barrage of raw Chaos energy at his enemy.

If anything Slaanesh should be more disruptive. Messing up channeled/prolonged abilities like suppressing fire or other psykers abilities.
People keep looking at Tzeentch and saying "That should be the psychic powerhouse" and it should, but it's like you're all forgetting that Tzeentch is big on the utility as well with debuffs to the enemy being a major part of his lore.
  3. yeah... I understand... though... if you would want something diffrent you would do it like that... *shrugs*

Dont see why each Sorc cant have more than one build. Theres more than enough buffs, debuffs and spells to pick from to make both support and DPS builds for all the Sorc variants, theres no reason to limit the Slaaneshians.
Plus they said you will only be bringing a few spells in your loadout (just like other classes can only bring a few weapons) so that paves the path to many different combos and builds.

I want a berzeker class run AROUND WITH A CHAIN AXE AND A BOLT PISTOL OR BOTH WOULD BE THE BEST THING ON THE PLANET

Ehhh, I'm of the opinion that each sorc variant should have their own feel to them. For example, a Tzeentchian sorc should never be supporty as far as buffing his allies goes, that's just not a Tzeentch thing.
Slaaneshi sorcs should deal pain and pleasure in equal measure, perhaps having allied buffs power damaging spells and vice versa.
Nurgle is Nurgle, lots of AoE, lots of DoT, and lots of Debuffs. Could also buff allies but not really allies that aren't alligned to Nurgle as most buffs are some kind of virulent daemon-disease that could take them down.

Im not denying that each should have their own flavor, yet none of them should completely be denied every role outside a singular one.
For instance whilst a Tzeentchian Sorc will be unmatched in direct DPS that doesent mean the Slaanesh cannot have a build that has at least close DPS to that.

Tzeentch can be a a supporter as well as a DPS powerhouse for instance with his time weaving (or spells like Reckoning of Tzeentchs, Boon of Mutation or Weaves of Fate).

You cannot relegate each Sorc variant to a singular playstyle cause the Sorcerer itself is supposed to be a counterpart to the Apothecary (and going by logic the Warlock too).
An abstract counterpart, but a counterpart nontheless so that implies he will need to be a buffer class cause he most likely wont be a healer class.

This means that each Sorc variant should have buffs as an option, to fill the place in the meta that the lack of a Chaos Apothecary will make.

EDIT:Also doubting the restriction to Nurgle buffs to Nurgleites specifically, would mess with their usefulness. They didnt restrict it in DoW2, dont see why they would do it here.

One thing to ponder though is the buffs that the Sorcerers will brings.
If we are fully to encompass Chaos in its twisted buffs then we risk the griefing factor.

For instance a Nurgle buff that makes you more durable but slows you to a crawl for the duration, or a Slaaneshian buff which enhances your attack speed but makes you receive a certain percentage more damage for the duration.
Both can be used as griefing tools in adequately grief friendly situations (like casting the Nurgle one whilst people are trying to quickly advance to some other point), and you cant really put in a system where you have to allow someone to buff you cause that would just be a mess.

So i wonder if it will naturally sort itself out or will we have dedicated idiots that will grief their own allies for the EPIN TROLLZ VIDEOS on youtube for the rest of the morons who would find it funny to laugh about.

As far as this goes, I'd limit the buffs but include the healing. Perhaps not eliminate the possibility of buffing non Nurgleites, but give extra bonuses to those that are. Like the increasing toughness but decreasing speed buff you suggested, reduce the speed by less for the Nurgleites. Healing, however, was always a big thing with Nurgle in the games as he gives vitality in the form of disease and I don't think that should be limited by who you're dedicated to.

(Personally, I prefer the offensive Nurgle, the one full of debuffs and nasty spells that plague an entire enemy squad)

As for the griefing. There will always be trolls, it's a sad fact of the internet. I wish it weren't so, but it's something I'm willing to risk.

  10. If they don't give me Plague Marine at launch, I will make one on my own by taking all the defensive shit available for the Tactical! "No, sir, your clip doesn't have enough bullets..." (B<|
