You messed up the FD "fix"

    I'm not arguing that the DA is bad. I in fact love the DA since it was first introduced.

    My problem with it is that it should not be outspecialized by other tacticals - which is what's happening. And the role of a DA is to be specialized in CQC, meaning it physically has a better version of a Stormbolter, yet regularly loses to it because it saturates the smaller hitbox and ignores the speed factor other weapons in the arsenal struggle against. That's understandably why the SMs use it so much, and that's generally fine, but the problem is that with survivability, damage, rof, and the ability to spray and pray, AD spam, and the DAs lack of pen, loss of accuracy while spamming AD or moving in general (intended and that's good), and the necessity to get headshots in order to survive makes the SB arguably BETTER than a SC and that's the problem.

    Problem is though, it costs more. BUT they can take AT grenades which DA can't. So I get your point.

    Eldar are in an iffy spot. I think they should go all the way with specialisation, but give Eldar longer spawn times or something to represent them being outnumbered. Just an idea.

    We generally don't need to represent being outnumbered. At roughly 12% of the population, we already ARE outnumbered.

    We also hold about 25% of the map even after nerfs and enemy buffs, glitched Tempest Launchers, and lame ducks like hawk grenades and lasblasters. So, we definitely aren't in the worst place we've ever been, we're doing quite well with what we've been given. It would certainly help to get more specialized though... And it seems there's assets in the game that are coming to help with it. Shimmer shields, direswords, firepikes, dreaded fucking singing spears....

    ... Brace yourselves... Specialists are coming.

    And a whole lot of Mon-Kiegh tears.

    It would be nice if the ASC had a slightly longer range, but I think it would be more beneficial to us if we could get Magazines, Ammo with 100 Pen (a bit like the Vengeance Storm Bolter with 110 Pen), and then possibly a modification a bit like the "Extended Barrel" for LSM's Bolter (just a bit weaker).

    I hope the Dire Avenger will get "Heavy" Plasma Grenades (100 LP, 2000 Damage like a Krak Grenade/Sticky Stikk Bomb, but with a bit more AoE or Pen) and Master-Crafted Plasma Grenades at some point. Rather sooner than later.

    Btw I think the description of the Plasma grenades goes sth like 'infantry or vehicles, it makes no difference'. Yyyyeah ok. They should simply give PGs 3x vehicle damage.

    I'm honestly thinking about making a post about why I think some Eldar classes/stuff is horribly designed. I think we are only doing as well as we are is thanks to crutches given to us.

    For example, our vehicles can roadkill like no man's business. But if we take that (cheesy) feature away, then they would be pretty garbage thanks to the fact that 1/3 of their firepower can't be aimed AND we have 40% less health than everyone else.

    Or Banshees with their 1-hit combo. If we took that away we would be left with a GA that has clunky, unresponsive animations that don't flow nearly as well as other melee.

    That steps on the toes of Eldar flavour, which is specialisation.

    You certainly can. It's been a topic of discussion internally within MYST for a long time. I know a lot of post launch Eldar players are not happy with the state of Eldar solely because they feel as though they'd fall apart if it weren't for those gimicks. Obviously not entirely true, but PuGs would definitely struggle a lot harder if they had to face the rough hewn face that remains the Eldar considering it takes months to smooth animations and tune them with combat.

    The team is luckily well aware of the animation issues that involve everyone. The solution is still fairly far away, but as the flow of combat continues to improve, the Eldar will be some of the deadliest in it, even with low teir weapons.
  8. I play Eldar and the only class that doesn't feel mediocre is the FD: being able to blast away people and vehicles that easily is awesome.
    Has it been nerfed? Maybe it was actually a little needed...

    I thought they said we were next for melee animation revamp? I hope to god that it comes in content update #2. I can't stand to play Banshees right now.

    I am not if they will ever get to fixing our vehicles. When asked, they basically said it was too hard to code these weapons.

    Yes FD was fixed. He was bugged before hand.

    Is it honestly that difficult to just hold Control or the aim button to swivel the TLSC on the bottom of the tank without putting a camera there? The camera angle on the tank seems fine as it is, and there's already an aiming reticle, what's preventing the outwardly simple fix of just being able hold down a button to independently aim while still being able to drive and not give ourselves a seizure?

    It just seems like we do it with characters all the time. We can aim and move without needing to change cameras.
