I don't think the Eldar are as bad as you are saying, I have a lot of fun playing as them but they do need a lot of polish and some more content added to them, I find the speed advantage the DA get make them better than a tactical since they can actually run away from melee and not get caught. What I think they need- - Banshee needs to be smoother in her attacks, less standing still after an attack. - more weapons for most of the classes, spears, twin blades. - more mods for there ranged weapons, a DA with a drum magazine equivalent would help them a lot. - cosmetics (these are getting worked on I hear... slowly.)
@Eldritch @RageScreama @Katitof After being told for a good solid two months LSM are the scum of the earth, noobs and more silly things, I honestly couldn't deny myself the pleasure of that cheap jab. I'm sorry. In all honesty, I sympathise. I'd rather have your faction of choice not be annoying to fight against, but fun to fight as and against.
Actually, getting away from melee is still difficult. If 1 fast attack connects with you mid-sprint. The melee player will catch up with you by fast attacking no matter what. You still have to stand and fight.
They aren't even my main faction. I just get iritated how the eldar community gets treated in this game is all.
The big question here I think is why are we afraid of making melta/fusion weapons able to fight other weapons? Make them cost more but able to win a close range 1v1. Wasn't the charge up to fire, slower turning and cool down mechanics put in place to make it so these weapons don't wreck groups. Short high burst damage, and yet they still are terrible against players and needed nerf against vehicles. Make them overheat faster and do more damage, they don't need to be the best close range weapons but they should be deadly, especially against high toughness builds and those with shields. Also fix vehicles so melta/fusion does a little less to them and power weapons do more then currently. Used to be able to chip down a transport with a power sword, now it's faster to find someone to kill you, swap class, walk back and do the job. With vehicle regeneration being improved we can tweak everything related to vehicles.
I can't really tell because every day is "fight more LSM" day. Think I had a total of 2 CSM matches when I played my Ork. Wait for it.. someone's going to run in screaming about "Eldar Internet Defence Force".
How could the Hawksear Grenades possibly do less damage? Do you want them to start healing the opponent or something EDIT: I miss back when the Hawksear Grenades were secretly disguised "Earthquake Grenades", back then they were amazing for CC'ing enemies, as opposed to now where the best use of a Hawksear Grenade is to un-equip it and pick something useful instead
Keep their damage around their current level, but make deal it over a huge area. So they sort of saturate and area without needing to aim while in the air.
I still hope we will one day be able to drop our grenades in "Bursts", possibly by "charging-up" or simply equipping another type of grenade. Essentially the only difference would be that you drop several grenades at once, possibly with a bit of spread.
