    Checking his gear before donning the void suit that was provided, Ananius boarded the Valkyrie ignoring the complaints and speeches of others as he physically and mentally prepared for the mission ahead. His life depended more then once on one or the other crazy creation of Bluetoof`s to start complaining now. Besides, he admired the roudy Orks for his ingenuity on his tech, making something useful out of pure scrap and dumb luck. A stab of jealousy shived him in the guts at the memory of his attempts to recreate Bluetoof`s designs and always failing. Ananius knew that there was something to their creation that the Ork was not telling him...

    Dragging his floating container behind him, he found a premade place at the back of the cargo bay designed to fit him and his grav-plate contraption. Who knows what he could encounter on this mission, and he didnt want for size or weight to stop him from looting it. Not if he can help it.

    Its just another smash-and-grab mission. Thats all. Another mission - another opportunity!

    Taking another wig from his flask, and swallowing the fire-acid content with a grimace, he donned the void-suit`s helmet.

    "Seems like we will be partners in taking the communication center, hm? I'm glad you are as much of a techpriest as a fighter, a true explorer of the Galaxy! I will do my best to stay out of harm's way so we both succeed in our common goal." Kairiel beamed from his seat next to Lachesis, helmet still on his lap until they were going to take off - wondering however which fighter(s) might accompany them.

    ~Before the Mission~

    As Arissa prepared to lay down and relax a bit before any further briefings, she heard a knock on the door, a smirk forming on her face when she heard the familiar voice of Kairiel. Opening the door, she leaned against the frame. "Well hello though Mr. Tall, Blue and Handsome. Sorry to disappoint, but its only me in here, and I'm not as likely to jump your bones as my sister." Laughing at her own comment, she gestured for the Tau to come in before she went back over to her bed, sitting down on it before inspecting her wound from her duel.

    "Sweet of you to offer, really I have just about everything I need. I'm a girl of simple wants. An exciting adventure, some good fights, plenty of valuables to nab, and a bottle of amnasec to top it off. The only thing I could really use is a Multi-Key. Quite handy for working around most locks. Also maybe some Tanna Tea? Most hate it, but I find it has a comforting taste."

    After finishing looking over her wound and sure it would heal well. "So tell me about yourself Kairiel. I've never really met any of your kind before, and you don't strike me as the pirating type."

    ~Briefing~

    As everyone gathered for deployment, Arissa took a moment to 'admire' the Valkyrie that would be their transport. To say it didn't inspire confidence would have been an understatement to say them least. But as long as it got her to the loot, she was more than happy to risk it. Made it all the more exciting!

    And that it was an Imperial Station? Better still. Cut a few down for you ma. da as well. Mostly be stealing stuff though, I'm sure you understand.

    Kairiel did his best to sooth the nerves of the newcomers, though it was mostly the hooded fellow who was making a fuss, causing the Spyrer to snicker. She didn't bother with grabbing a void suit, her hunting rig more than capable of performing the function while keeping her looking her usual dazzling self.

    "So, what're we waiting for? Let's hit these Imperial fuckers and take em for all they're worth! My room needs some new trophies to fill it."

    Kairiel blinked at the initial comment, not completely understanding - but making elaborate guesses in his mind. He was used to faux flirting and was unaffected by it, after all - most of his trade were after all women. Even though they and their 'business partners' often sank to ... Primitive methods of making a deal more enjoyable. But he was, perhaps to his luck, more sophisticated.

    "Ahhh Multi-Keys. Yes they are not too easy to come by. But I will put it on my list." He started his part of the conversation, guessing it was better than to possibly make inadequate comments about Arissa's sister. Kairiel knew nothing of them or their specific world culture. But he knew that with siblings it usually was a 'I can say whatever I want, but strangers may not - unless they want to lose their tongue' sort of deal.

    "Tanna Tea? I have not heard of it. I mean I know of roughly two hundred sorts of teas from various cultures, including Human, Tau and Eldar. But Tanna? Mhhhh... I might be able to draw a reference of it in the library. But perhaps you may explain to me how it may look? Or. Next time we have access to a market you could accompany me, point it out - making sure I buy the correct item. You would be surprised how often merchants try to sell flour as salt, or salt as sugar. And sometimes you don't even want to taste it to confirm, because you might end up drugged and abused." He shrugged slightly, playing the dangerous of trading in pirate space down with his body gesture.

    Without even being invited to help, he gently took the arm of the human woman and inspected the wound, he nodded in contemplation - seeing nothing he could improve on the treatment. So he let go of the hand and then looked into the eyes of the woman to answer.

    "Me? Mhhhh..." He looked towards the ceiling as if to look for answers, his eyes quickly fixating back to Arissa. "We Tau are a very diplomatic species, always looking for allies to add to our Imperium, where everyone can find their life's purpose. Their call, as you humans describe it. It was however not destined for me. After seeing whole worlds swallowed by Tyranids and nothing in my power to do anything against it, I ventured out. Without family to hold me at home and without capability to reason with The Great Devourer, I sought out to the first traitor of our Empire. Commander Farsight and his Enclaves. There I served to find them allies as well as suppliers for ammunition, weapon, etc. On one of the shopping trips I was kidnapped. Was traded as an exotic slave back and forth. And eventually during a raid by our dear captain, I offered my services to her in gratitude for returning me my freedom... Which was the moment of my life. I decided to use my skills of a diplomat, linguist and trader in the name of the selflessness we Tau embrace and help others find their freedom. Nobody shall be a slave of anyone. That is why here on the Hanatari, we see each other more as a family."

    Kairiel explained with a bright smile, not regretting the past - in the very opposite, being well aware of the pain he went through. But it was necessary pain to gain the pleasure of having found at last purpose.

    Varl unpacked some of his more esoteric gear and was making adjustments to one of the laboratory racks when he heard news of a raid. Should he go? Was he required? The Haemonculus wasn't one hundred percent sure, but a field medic was often useful. And, he reflected, it might be an opportunity to showcase his skills. Perhaps to gather some more materials. Maybe to collect some useful samples. He continued musing, unpacking a suitably proportioned voidsuit as he did so. Being from Commorragh's elite had its perks. And, to be fair, being a tall and slender Ynneas Eladrith had its requirements.

    Once ready, he joined the gathering group getting together for the raid.

    "Am I too late? I may be useful should anyone require repair," he said, smiling disarmingly before he put on his helmet.

  6. Malrak was adjusting his suit so he would be comfortable when he noticed the Dark Eldar arrive and say something about them requiring repairs. "I believe the correct statement is medical treatment, I would prefer my body to not be seen as a machine." He said before putting on the helmet to the suit. Such A strange assortment of people have been gathered aboard this vessel. After another check that everything was secure and on correctly he took his staff into hand and walked over to the vehicle that resembled a Valkyrie but the ork seemed to have bolted scrap onto it as well. @Jorimel

    “Searus electroia, you can call me searus, electroia or whatever combination you wish” she replied.

    Searus followed the scavenger as he led her to the captain. She then signed the contract which said the same thing the captain had said in the bar and prodded to help the ork and the scavenger with whatever they needed help with.

    [Briefing]

    Searus quickly modified a void suit to be able to accommodate her mechatendrils and some of her equipment as much as the time allowed. While her implants should be able to help her survive in a vacuum it was always wise to have backup plans just in case. As the meeting went on and the rest of the crew talked she asked the captain when the captain was free for a moment.

    “Want me to grab any vehicles from them? I am sure I can coax the machine spirits into following us rather than them, or would you rather have me help someone else?” she asked.
  8. < @Tamu >

    As the rest of the crew piled into Valkry, as she had been affectionately named by the captain, Aeris turned her attention to Searus and smiled with a nod. "Yes, I think that would be rather helpful." she said, though what need they would need for vehicles was unclear. Perhaps it was just to show they could do so. Either way she patted the Techpriestess' shoulder and nodded. "Take Goramor and Saven with you." she smiled and then set off into the ship herself.

    <EVERYBODY >

    And as the Ork musik was turned down thanks to some controls that Aeris had insisted upon, the doors of the Hanatari opened and they were off. Boarding torpedoes fired from the ship and barreled off towards the station of imperial design, followed soon after by Valkry. And as the defensive shots barreled towards them, deftly avoided by the pilot in the front of the ship. At the same time, Aeris had on her own special void suit and walked to the ramp, looking over her crew.

    "Alright! Once the ramp opens we're going to get out and use the station's own gravity to get on the surface." she said, smirking in thought of what they were going to do. "From there, we cut into an airlock and get in. And then, we split up."

    ( @Uriel1339 @High_Adept_Zeth @Keidivh )

    "Kai, Vex, Arissa, you'll be heading towards the communications center and cutting them off from outside comms, while giving them a chance to surrender or join us. Once you've done that, head out and loot whatever you can find as you work your way to me."

    ( @Tamu @Wata @Maleth )

    "Searus, Goramor, Saven, head to the motor pool and grab what vehicles you can. Get some troops to come with you too, and grab which ones you can. Stay with them until the Hanatari can dock and we can move them into our own.

    ( @bossaroo @Vulpas @TuskatheDaemonKilla )

    "Bluetoof, Malrak, Felana, head to the security sector and disable the defensive guns so the Hanatari can move in closer. See if you can get anything else useful - such as tips on other jobs and the location of the vault - and then break off and find me.

    ( @Casavay @Jorimel @Wincent )

    "Lach, Varl, Shriek, stay with me if you will. We'll be roaming the place, looting whatever we can and helping my troops keep control of the station on the way to the bridge" she said, nodding to them before addressing the group as a whole once more.

    Prior to boarding, Aeris had made sure to give everyone a comm-bead set to her own channel, so they could all communicate of need be. Such would make this plan work even better. "After everyone finishes their jobs, we will rendezvous and hit the armory and vault. Try not to get too hurt, I'm sure our esteemed Varl could only do so much outside of his medbay."

    At that, the Pilot called back to report they were over the drop zone. Aeris smiled and hit the button to drop the ramp, opening their vision to the void and the station just as a number of torpedoes hit, sending scraps of metal into space. "alright, lets get to it!" she called, jumping out and floating gingerly onto the station with some sort of special tool in her grip. She would wait for the rest of her team to float down before she lead them towards the nearest airlock...

    ~~~
    The Airlock door shut behind them, leaving them in an empty room while alarms blared all over the place. There was a few doors out, and Aeris - after removing her void suit - headed off towards the one to their left, having read up on the layout of such stations and giving them all the general directions to where they were going. "Alright, lets get to it!" she said cheerfully, moving off with her own team.
    < @Casavay @Jorimel @Wincent >
    Aeris would lead her team through a quiet corridor, no troops or anything of the sort to mention - though weaponfire was clearly audible in nearby areas. That is, until they turned a corner and came across a small squad of what looked to be imperials, who trained their weapons on them. Five were there, but soon it was four as Aeris nonchalantly fired her shuriken pistol into the formost human, shredding him.
    < @bossaroo @Vulpas @TuskatheDaemonKilla >
    The security team would moves through the right door, and head down a ladder halfway down the hall, heading towards the security station. They came across a group of troopers, who seemed to be running away rom something. And before anything could be said, it was clear what it was. A monsterous Rak'Gol was barreling down on them, with something around his neck that had a few red light glowing on it. It had a chainsword in each hand and didn't seem to be prepared to stop for anything.
    < @Tamu @Wata @Maleth >
    The Motor Pool was about directly below their position, but there was no quick way to get there. They headed out one of the doors opposite the airlock, and had to head through what would be the mess hall to get to the lift which would take them downwards far enough. Either that or they would have to take a longer path of halls and rooms, which might potentially have fewer opponents but would take longer.
    < @Uriel1339 @High_Adept_Zeth @Keidivh >
    The communication center was a rather more straight shot to the destination. heading out the other door opposite the airlock, they walked down the hall and at a crossroads, came across a small squad of Aeris' troops, who stopped and recognized both Kairiel and Vex, thus stopping in their tracks. "We've scouted out the area where you're heading towards, it's packed with a good many troops. And they have a turret in front of the door - we've been ordered to accompany you."
    In that group, Kairel would recognize the Cadian that he had gotten onto the ship in exchange for the water purifier. He shot the Tau a glance that said they needed to talk, but didn't actually say anything as the tropps waited for orders, a plan.
    One thing that frustrated him about the cumbersome void suits they wore, was the fact that you cant smoke in them. The visor gets in the way. For their apperant bulk they were certainly short on their use and prone to failure. For a moment Vex wondered, if he could improve it later on in his workshop.
    What is there to do anyway, while waiting to get deployed, sitting, all huddled up, no one talking and enduring a general feeling of awkwardness in a group that is very racially diverse?
    Perfect time for smoking! He`d kill for a tabbac shot or even a lho-stick! He couldnt even respond properly to the Tau when he addressed him, so he nodded and hoped Kairel would get his drift.
    Only later did he managed to make his vox-bead working without making it lobotomize him with ever-present static noise it constantly spewed.
    < The mission >
    Noting Cap`n`s careful manner in which she handled her crew, Ananius wondered if he ever saw a human behave in such a empathic manner to a bunch of cutthroats, thieves and all that good jazz that she noted under her crew. Deciding not to think of it more until later, he focused on the mission he was given.
    Removing the visor and tossing it into the levitating container beside him, he pulled back his left sleeve and consulted his forearm attached data-slate. Observing the standard schematic for the station and cross-referencing it with his objective and their currrent position, for once, he though they had it easy. Imperium is nothing if not blatantly standardized in their layout of construction.
    "Its straight ahead." he muttered to Kairel, paying special attention around the walls for las-traps and celling for pict-corder devices. Not so much to loot them as is to avoid being seen by them.
    The communication center was a rather more straight shot to the destination. heading out the other door opposite the airlock, they walked down the hall and at a crossroads, came across a small squad of Aeris' troops, who stopped and recognized both Kairiel and Vex, thus stopping in their tracks. "We've scouted out the area where you're heading towards, it's packed with a good many troops. And they have a turret in front of the door - we've been ordered to accompany you."
    Taking a deep sigh of exasparation he grumbled: " It never rains when you need it, but when it does it pours."
    Noticing the wordless signal between one of the mercs and his Tau comrade, he continued:
    "Well...at least we know something of value is inside."
    Pulling back his right sleeve, he fiddled with the contration at his right forearm, cocking the macrostubber-pistol: " Alright boys, i say we..." he tapped his data-slate on his forearm a few times before continuing "...use Jerry over here as a mobile cover or a battering ram." he said while patting affectionetly the hollow slab of metal that levitated beside him.
    "I am sure he can take more then a few las-rounds. That is..." he stopped, taking the time to take another wig from his flask, before looking at the Tau and whoever was leading the mercs "...if no one has a better idea."
    Kairiel remained close, but not too close behind Vex and Arissa. He had his pulse pistol drawn and carried it in his left hand, the Helmet was still on but the visor of the void helmet was lowered so one could see his face . He could easily keep up with the others, but that didn't make him athletic or such. In fact he hated running around. Being a man of patience - hurry was his worst enemy. If it was up to him, some negotiation deals would take days. But no. Humans always want to get everything done yesterday. Kroot and Vespid don't even understand proper trading because all they want is always the same - a good hunt. And he didn't even want to think of the impatience of a drugged up Dark Eldar who hoped to buy his new dose as the effects slowly drifted from climax to withdrawal.
    The Tau was only snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the soldiers speak, followed by Vex' reply. So he turned to the Scavenger and the Spyrer. "One moment, please." He approached the Cadian and pulled him to the side. "I assume you have a better idea than a suicide run, my friend?"
