The same people asking for SM to be gods of the battlefield, the same people spamming threads with Grey Knight and/or Black Templar crap (both are thin blooded mud eating 2nd founding whelps, deal with it), people wanting Tyranids as a faction because they want to be a hive tyrant but don't have the balls to say it, people who want the Eldar to have bullet time, people who want Orks to always be cannon fodder or to be nothing but Nobz or stronger, people asking for SM power to reflect the fluff (and not realizing they would still be weaker in every regard to CSM). People asking for bolters to be strong while not asking for other faction weapons to also be strong. People asking for single player plot armor and movie magic weapons in an online game, because fuck everybody else, all that matters is THEIR fun. A lot of people are going to be disappointed, and I'm not sure if I would want to play this game with them anyway.
Calm down sparky, I am a PvP'er and always have been since the UO days. I can get as hard corps with it as you want to go. However, I also realize I am a minority when it comes to gaming. Most people (and there are stats to back this up) prefer PvP. So, I am a PvPer that does PvE out of curiosity, and I realize I am a minority. That is where this discussion ends as far as I am concerned.
Hehe Crusader Unglory, Thank you for your kind word. I might be a very open minded French Canadian.... but sorry... I am already Married! ;-) But I will take your love anytime!
Humm, Crusader Tornadium, the ''Holy Smoke'' part is hidden in your own post: We are being compare to a 60M$ finished Games like Space Marine with only a core team of 10 doing the Prototype in less than 10 weeks.... That is the ''Holy Smoke'' factor people see.
Let me make myself clear, I'm impressed by your prototype. I really am, It's a very good indication of what your team is capable of and it's a sign of good things to come but as far as content goes there wasn't all that much and it looked like Space Marine. I'll just reiterate that i'm impressed and it was definitely a good first showing but it wasn't anything new that would blow me away (nor was I expecting anything at this point since you've got so far to go and I'm sure you have these plans that we will see as we get into 2015). I just find a hard time understanding some of the reactions that people had to the video, their attitudes just seemed pandering and that irritates me. I prefer to give criticism that will help not just blinding scream that something looks amazing in hopes of a beta invite.
Dear Crusader Yansibar, Have you catch in our past Newsletter that we have hired BOTH Graham McNeill and Antony Reynolds has our writers for the Game? They have written close to 40 Novels/Short Story. We obviously hired them for a reason! But we keep that for your Christmas Gift!. Migue
I take offense to your black templars statement. As long as the game is well balanced and each faction has the tools to wage war I am happy, but the black templars have to be in the game. Also, to hell with the fluff if it gets in the way of balance, I've never personally cared. We have Space Marine if we want to feel like a raging bad ass beating up orks.
Sorry, reply might not make much sense, but WAY to much to quote there in a response; nor will I even remotely try to respond to most of it. I agree with you about LoL and w0w for instance. Total garbage. They're both always broken FOTM. That being said, I do enjoy LoL off and on; it's a fun time waster (especially drunk). Here's where I don't. GW2 was just as bad. I don't see how you can POSSIBLY say it was any more balanced than any of the others. The classes were so unbalanced and broken at times it's not even funny. And there are just as many FOTM's there too (or were for a while, it's not as bad now). For a while they were changing classes left and right. Hell the heavy armor classes are still out of whack IMHO. Depending on team composition, flavor build, etc. yes, one team can easily get steamrolled. I don't see how you can possibly say they can't. I've done it and had it done to me. The only thing that didn't make a difference is, you're right, gear since everyone has an option to use all the same things. But then it goes into the realm of the absurd to say well, it's balanced out because you could have 5 thieves on each team with all the same builds and gear so there's your balance! Since that's never going to happen, or would just be plain stupid and boring (maybe not, maybe that's someone's thing) no, it's not any more balanced. Just my opinion. On a different note. WvW has had a MASSIVE overhaul btw, you might wanna check it out. Though I haven't WvW'd in about a month (since I quit my last guild, I can't stand leaders on power trips) it's... better. There are still zergs, but there's a lot more to do. OH the lag! They mostly fixed the culling. I couldn't stand that either. I have a high end system with a great connection and I'd get F'd all the time. It almost made me (well, I have left the game several times.. I pretty much only log in to do the new events, complete them, then don't log in again till the next). What else... mmm I left WAR for the same reason pretty much... I just reinstalled since it's finally free, just to give it a look before it dies. I was there in the alpha/beta so I will miss it. Wish they had, had the sense to go F2P like the rest of the freakin' industry that has managed to survive (to a degree). This is running to long, that is all.
