in the last years warhammer and warhammer 40k start to take "too seriusly" original warhammer and war 40k was almost a parody.
Yeah, but don't forget that a lot of people became interested in 40k because of it becoming grimdark(myself included). So those people will be angry about those silly games.
Well, I don't know what to say. I guess I'm gonna have to wait for Squig Race ... or Dark Eldar Sim (the second one could be actually interesting ).
In fairness it's more the Batman effect coming into play. It's a flexible enough of a subject matter that at one end you have Adam West and the other The Dark Knight. Both work within the medium because of its parody origins, but having enough depth and substantial lore to truly flesh things out either way. That said, personally, I think this looks like an abomination. We've had prior joke elements in 40K and humour has always been welcome - especially with the orks and dark eldar - but at least in those there has been effort. Not so much in this case it seems.
