Hey guys - I wanted to see who else here was a former (or current) WW2OL or Battleground Europe player - and also to see what you were thinking of playing as. If we have enough I think we'd be a force to reckon with, although I doubt we'd all want to play the same thing.

I haven't played in 2 years, but I still have a real soft spot for the game...one of the best gameplay experiences I've ever had.

now you have me feeling nostalgic. ww2ol would be a fantastic example for the devs to follow. an mmofps with a community that has persisted for ten years and counting. granted, there's things crs could have done better, but having played the game for untold hundreds of hours I would call it a success. honestly, planet side 2 should have used similar map mechanics. crs did a great job of keeping the action focused on the fronts. I take it you played allied Texan?

For the most part, yeah! I played French - played rifle a LOT - my proudest moment was getting up to No. 36 on the top 100 riflemen. Also played Armee de l'Air. Almost got an ace mission in a Dewo, but didn't RTB. Good times.

I played allied with BKB. Then I played Axis with the 1st Jagers, -Koopman and all the gang but a few campaigns back we was getting ready to take the last town and ...from what I am "told" Doc brought the server down to keep it going and be over run by axis.

Since then my very active Axis squad, 1st Jagers all got "upset" at that move and are now playing Planet-side 2.

But I do foresee them missing the Historical awesomeness of WW2 and coming back to it

i missed that little slice of drama tessie, and stovebolt, i could never fly worth a damn in that game, props for the ace mission. I have been thinking about starting up a clan for this game and star citizen, if time permits... would be fantastic to play alongside some ol BE vets.
