I think I'm not the only one that doesn't want to see this battle be only between orks, eldar, sm and chaos. There are alot of likings for other races out there, personally, i've been growing a liking for the tau empire and would love to be able to play as the in the future. But would the inclusion of more races be a problem? I don't know how the battles are meant to be in EC, I'm assuming it's like Planetside 2, where it's an all-out FFA in a huge map, IDk if it's actually gonna be like that, but if it is, how far could the inlcusion of more races/factions go before stuff gets a bit too chaotic? like imagine if necrons, tau, sisters of battle, dark eldar and imperial guard got added and the game would be a 9-way FFa, wouldn't that just be way too much and too confusing? Maybe I'm overthinking this way too soon since we don't even know for sure how the PvP will play out.
I'm fairly sure it's more RPG based than that as there are some PvE elements that have been announced already. Also quests and such
This could be prevented if the each faction's war council decide which campaign they will pick vs another faction for example a campaign vs another faction and not an all out war where all factions join the same campaign.
the only problem would be that one faction gets deserted but anyway IG and SoB wont be implemented wich leaves us with a 7 way battle but then we dont fight on continents like in planetside but on planets, wich leaves us a bit more space to fight on so maybe certain battles will be chaotic but majorly we wont see all factions at the same time (except maybe on a junction point that may not exist until 2 or 3 weaks of battle)
I just love Tau Empire. It's too early to predict what could break balance in game. Lets first Alpha/Beta test starts, let hope for this game to get released and then we can talk about it.......i think
Baby steps commander, baby steps. once live, it will depend on how the game plays out, player retention and other factors. It obviously keeps expansion prospects possible to say the least.
I agree with this but you don't know if they decide in the near future to add Necrons and Tau before official launch. For sure both options will reflect in different ways to this game.
If it comes down to it, I'd rather have more sub-factions instead of proper new ones. It's already going to be a very complex thing to "balance" things around RvRvRvR. In the end it could just prove to be damaging to introduce additional races.
Nice feedback guys. Fethaus is bringing up my main concerns. Maybe if instead of all out battle there could be alliances, like the IG would join but fight alongside the space marines, and daemons could show up alongside chaos. Though i have no idea who could join the eldar and orks.
