Your entire remark is stating that the devs can't make a way for it to work and also it seems you just hate mounts no matter what form there in what's wrong with a melee alt to a bike with its twin bolters strapped to the front it can balance out, it would make the battlefield more interesting seeing thunderwolves duking it out with say juggernaught riders from chaos. Besides who died and made you the final authority on mounts anyway

M&B made mounts work, and the Devs said they MIGHT be looking into its combat system for help.

Just make them angrier with some unique attack animations and executions and the M&B system might just work, with a bit of effort.
