Not really, after all my time with the 40k universe i have owned and played armies form every faction and while 2 of my top 3 are currently unavailable (Dark Eldar and Thousand sons) I do get to play Orks, Nightlords and Blood Angels (#1 in my heart while they are ripping out yours). While I think missing things like IG is lamentable there is a surprising amount of variety already being presented for options in characters, I just can't wait to see how tehy handle it when the details come down.
I will be playing Eldar with a slight chance of Orks as I wait for Dark Eldar. I have always been interested of the eldar race as a whole and it isn't much of an effort for me to like the Craftworld-variety. Aesthetically they are quite similar to Dark Eldar, especially in their body-types (slim guys!) but there are still a lot of differences in weaponry, classes and the look of the armour. Still, the lore is awesome and all aspect warriors look awesome. That is enough. As far as orks go, that is just a natural calling. ...of sorts.
I will be playing with everything the game got, even if that means i can play with a rock, imagine the power, a rock of destruction, waiting for someone to grab it and throw it.
Well, first I was going to get myself a Chaos warrior. But then I suddenly felt like it was wrong to take that one. So I will most probably try to play Orks, Eldar (Because I have suddenly become interested in them) and, if a third character is possible, Tau (When they come out, of course). I actually really want to play tyranids, but we'll see if it is even possible, since, you know, the hive mind and all that stuff.
I started Chaos and stayed that way, the lore and their general misrepresentation just calls to me too much. Though I also have an Eldar and an Ork on retainer. Screw those Loyalist tossers though.
When I first heard of Eternal Crusade I was pretty dead-set on playing Chaos, because I assumed that Striking Scorpions wouldn't get in. But I've been proven wrong and now I am maining Eldar.
