says who? sorry but don't say "of course there will be" unless you have proof that they will be. so far we don't know but it seems to be leaning to a "no they won't be" why? because devs have been talking about Ork boyz being on par with space marines which leads me to believe that there wouldn't be a class lower than that i.e. scouts. making boyz on par with a space marine... *sighs* fine.. making gretchin on par with scouts??? shit.would.get.real.
Well basically we were thinking that the scout should be for just starting players getting into the SM race. They would have to gather skills and experience to benefit themselves to further themselves in the line of the Space Marine. As in the lore of Warhammer 40k stated Scouts are the recruits of the Chapters and must go throw challenges and training before becoming a space marine. As well Scouts are use in the Chapters as "Scouts" Gathering intelligence, sabotaging high priority targets, and assassinating enemy commanders. But as well to persuade a new player to stay as a scout with becoming a Sargent of a scout squad and getting unique equipment and war-gear for themselves and their squad like some new carapace armor, a better sniper rifle, better explosive charges for sabotage, or even a Land Speeder. This intern would allow a stable supply of Scouts for the Chapters without causing overcrowding
Because for me it's clear? So what that a Ork Boyz with on par with space marines (bleee)? Scout wich is allsow a Space Marine use diffrent tactics and equpment on the battlefield but still that dosent mean they will not manage to a Tactical Marine for example so i pretty sure there WILL be Scouts, just like Rangers in the Eldar race.
right, it's "clear" to you. you're just hoping for it. nothing is confirmed so we have to wait for official word from the Devs.
you are not well informed.. they have confirmed that ork boyz, the free trial race, are NOT ON PAR WITH SPACE MARINES! though a skilled ork boy can take out a space marine in a 1v1, its generally a 1v5 deal. Nobs/stormboy nobs etc on the other hand, the actual class once you pay for the game, are the equal of marines in melee.
they already mentioned that the 1 SM vs 5 boys is a misconception think we need to wait for some ingame ork movies untill we know more
My thoughts on this topic are that we really cant say anything until we see or hear official news about it IF! this is put in as a class, BUT! i do hope that this put in as a playable class even though they cant take a lot of hits and aren't good in melee combat, they can snipe and use other epic weapons (To me) like the shotgun plus they have a cloaking ability and they could be used as a infiltration class if there is objective based game play...
If you hadn't written it I had by myself. When I first heard about the game I liked the imagination that I would start as a scout into the Space Marine rank system.
Agreeing with Chapter Master Charles as well. Having Scouts be used as a "starter" class would be cool, and if you just really love what they do you can promote to a Scout Sergeant.
