I have to ask just to be absolutely sure.

As someone living in the Asia region, gamers from the region are frequently discriminated by Western developers by either IP blocking the region for some BS reasons like "We are blocking IP address used by hackers"(http://support.enmasse.com/tera/will-en-masse-ip-block-based-on-region) or just simply not making the game available in the region (MGS: Revengeance, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2).

I don't want to spend money on a game that I will never be able to play.

Anyone will be able to play it, because of reasons explained in a few other threads, regarding in game spying/multi accounts etc, IP blocking wont really work. Hacking is a problem we see often in mmo's, but because of the no-sub business model, there shouldn't be as many hackers.
As for region locking 'for no reason' there shouldn't be any of that, this game was made for every 40k player, regardless of where they live, the only reason why you couldn't play it would be server issues. Because of the single server nature of the game, we could expect some problems with the game, but that is why we have the Alpha/beta for testing. If all goes well, there should be no problem in playing the game.

That happens in a lot of games you just have to put up with the fact that you might run into someone who speaks something you don't understand.

Deal with? Have to? LMAO, dude, you have a talent to find problems and make huge troubles out of nothing. I bet that despite any server comms solution used you will be unhappy, your type always is. Relax and be happy, there is no problem yet. Save your moans till it happen.

I think EC should be all-inclusive. We need a lot of buyers and shop-users to keep the no-sub system going. Not to mention having more players makes a mmo better. Any sort of elitist behaviour towards people of certain regions is counterproductive both fiscally and gaming-experience-wise.

I have been IP blocked out a few times from MMO that I played for at least a year due to some BS reasons like keeping hackers/bots out when I have not even hacked/bot once since the day I started playing Ragnarok Online.

I don't enjoy getting stereotyped as a hacker/bot when I never even thought of doing anything like that.
