I just fear this option might make playing the ORKS a poor experience. What I fear is that some of these free to players , will be there just to try the game.If they don't like it, some of them might go on to being humans with anonymity and start griefing and ruining the experience for the ORK boyz. The ORKS will have to deal with a less solid playerbase than the other races as some will potentially be just...passing by. To be honest I don't agree with this model at all , no race should be receiving this kind of handling in my opinion. The best way to remove inequalities is by making the ORKS as appealing as possible and this is the only STRONG design choice , the rest are patchwork solutions. Just give immense detail and personality to all of the races and I think it will all be fine. P.S. fearing for the orks and am not even an ork player.
They are both the least popular right NOW. There is still a possible chance for them to grow in the future.
If all goes according to plan the orks will have a much larger player base when compared to any of the other factions. I think OP is worried that individually all orks, F2p or payers, will be weaker than anyone from anyother faction to balance out the zerg. I have no idea what the devs are actually planning.
I don't think there is reason to nerf f2p.I'm pretty sure they are mostly going to be disoriented meat to the rest
I think that F2pers will be weaker than their paying counterparts. And either payers will play as nobs or F2pers as gretchin.
I doubt they'll turn FF on for f2pers. If some kiddie is annoying you, just shoot him and collect his teeth.
This has been addressed already officially, by the game director if I remember correctly. Has been stated that free to play ork will not be cannon fodder as the lore fluff does suggest versus space marine, but will have a 50% chance. This statement was referred to the ork boyz which will be available to the free play ers. I'm still sceptical about it as I feel I'd take me out of immersion to see discrepancy from the lore and fluff but agree those needs to be bent to gameplay. My conclusion they would use a power lvl scheme in the faction where acros faction the same power lvl troop will be on par to each other across action forgive my poorer than usual English due to a case of stonedness
Yea ( getting into RP ) if DA liddle gitz IZ bugging ya and yappin bout mork knows Wat and 'Es saying zog dis an zog dat DEN KRUMP DA ZOGGIN GIT IF 'ES BEIN A GIT IZ know I will. But honestly I think the newbies even if they are annoying will still strengthen the orks do to the massive amount of meat shields and if things don't go according to plan the devs can just patch the game so orks don't need all of the spare boyz. In my motto we might have to sacrifice lore for gameplay.
