Will playing Orks better functionally allow me to play more Ork-illy? I really like the 40k games, and part of what I love so much, is the thematics. I want to feel like an Ork, and be rewarded functionally for Orky play.
What gaelen said is true orks do that. I think your talking about the randomness of orks then there are plenty of threads going over that. You need to explain what you mean every race in 40k means something different to someone like a art. But 40k is not art it is awesomeness in its condensed form.
So you mean recieve rewards for Orkifying 'Umie stuff like statues, buildings, gubbinz? or do you mean for making your own tank catch fire then ploughing it across the battlefield in a screaming fireball of rapidly evacuating Orkz?
Well, for a quick and dirty explanation of what I'm getting at... for instance mechanically if I play an Ork...but bunny hopping is a thing that benefits me in combat greatly... or some sort of janky zig zag running. Anything that doesn't really flow with the fluff of what an ork would do, from a feel perspective. I'm already behind because I'm an intelligent human being playing a sort of animalistic savage character... The objective systems hopefully cover enough of that to make that not feel to bad.
for example you would like to sprint at your enemy directly and smash your choppa in his head? well then we could say for melee classes without jumprokket the longer they sprint the less DMG they take from ranged damage which hit them in the front or instead of taking dmg they get slowed down and only if they are slowed down enough then they take dmg or sprinting for a certain time generates an adrenalin shield which soak up some dmg
