I know might be too early to ask this in alpha stage. Since EC is a MMO will it have global campaigns that online battles contribute towards controlling a sector or planet? Similar to GW global campaign eye of terror/cadia even though it was tabletop. You played a game, you report your battle result and that contributed which forces controlled the sector. That later on directly had consequences like a loss of resources, a planet being destroyed or something. I always wanted online battles to actually matter, that win or loss effects your influence in a area. Than just getting online, kill each other, rinse and repeat. So it becomes addictive making you get online, fight as a team/clan, plan and organize where to attack or defend cities, space ports or capitals. I can go on, but I think games like this need to implement global campaigns with online play.
having campaigns was the idea for EC form the begining ^^ each faction will have different win conditions and depending on who reach their goals the world/conditions/positions will change for the next campaign
considering that GW retconned the whole "eye of terror 2003" TT results (they didnt like who won) ... just dont expect EC's gameplay to result in GW having to change its universal direction lol
I mean GW doesn't really have to get involved in story line campaign, but it would be helpful. Have they released how campaigns will work online? or could players of a private server create their own campaigns? Can people strategist where to surprise attack like certain places with resources.
