The point actually was... RTC was bought by ppl with real money and we were promised that RTC would be premium looks. Why not simply make RT based cosmetics? This would make RTC stay the way they are and RT cosmetics could be completely different.
Damn, here in Brazil Overwatch costs almost twice as much as EC costed me with the EA discount... I still bought it though, and regret it much more than EC...
This is a 50$ game that release at alpha stage, not to be offensive to the devs or anything but they are definitely not in the position to have players pay more money for cosmetics when their core game is still as rickety as a bridge of rotten popsicle sticks.
If this game were a free to play title then RTC could be pay walled but since that's not the case and the game already costs you 50$ I feel like it's bullshit that they do have you pay extra for cosmetics especially seeing as how nobody want's to play a 40k game with no cosmetic customization options. Warhammer 40k: Space marine offered all it's cosmetics and customization options through unlocks, already setting a standard for what 40k fans for the most part would come to expect. If you were to say "Oh well planetside 2 has cosmetic items behind a pay wall and this game is trying to be like PS2" Yeah well this game isn't free to play either and it isn't yet what planetside 2 is (mmo elements and all). I always thought and remembered hearing that customization options or the means to get them would be a grinded resource. Not something we'd have to physically pay for but maybe something that we could physically pay for as another option. As for me I feel like it's total bullshit that there is a pay wall in front of the things that make my space marine unique It just takes away so much of the world I envisioned myself playing in. Even if it were Free to play I just can't stand the paywall crap. Not everyone has money but everyone wants to look as baddass as they can when playing a game.
