Really? I take it you're a fan of the show then. I personally just thought it was a humourous image with some therapeutic qualities. If you wish for me to do so, I would be willing to change it to something less aggravating. Also, could we please continue this in private messages, i'd rather keep this topic on track than derail it further.

Honestly, between Killbo_Fraggins ' and Sergoros ' Avatars; I'd say we've got a fair balance of humor and/or sarcasm and/or love & hate. Difficult to tell in such a odd place. I think that lots of people confuse the "i have no serious issues" thing about the Ultramarines with the "i am the perfect flawless soldier". They're not perfect. Actually it's quite the contrary.. being a jack of all trades means they're below perfect in everything but still pretty good. Just because they're not deranged psycopaths like the Night Lords or they don't have daddy issues like Perturabo or Mortarion or Lorgar, doesn't make them ubermarines. I like them because i have no reason to dislike them.
That's so pure in its simplicity that it makes it difficult to counterpoint. Well put! The only rub in your overall statement--none of it being your own fault, by the way--is that there are those out there (and those in power/control) who have been spouting off over how ridiculously great the Ultramarines are. Thus the backlash against Ultramarines is--generally speaking--not out of confusion. However, thanks to this thread, I've become refreshed with how there are still those among the community that view the Legion/Chapter as "just one of the guys"... As much as being "just guys" can refer to hulking genetically-engineered super soldiers. Being the poster boy of the franchise or being generally "balanced" gameplay/lore wise certainly does not make an ubermench--despite certain people's beliefs and intentions. ^_^ And don't forget Horus' daddy issues! Although I feel that Chaos was kind of cheating with that one in the end.
