Not saying that anything is wrong with Orkz aesthetically, but there are plenty of ways that BE could have tried to simulate a proper horde environment. They could have: *Go the straight forward route and just let them be weak with a higher player count than the opposing faction (Free2Waaagh would have been great for this) *Let them be weaker be but allow them to spawn ontop their squad leader, creating a "horde" without adjusting the player count. Could even have made squad leaders bigga for the sake of pointing them out. *Implement a Waaaagh mechanic that makes orcs suboptimal when in small numbers but gives a localized buff when you form a horde Et cetera. I understand why they wanted to go the easiest route and just make orkz and equal faction. But it would have been nice for them to attempt it to see how it would function. It stills seems pretty damn silly to see orkz go toe to toe with the other factions with equal numbers though
No. Take your terrible idea and cram it. Nobody wants to play the faction that has no chance 1v1. Please take your egoboner and find a pay to win game. Then you can dominate as much as you want with unfair advantages.
Well crudely stated previously, one reason may well be that even if bE considered the idea the only players who seemed in favor of the "horde of weaker orks" idea for Orks appeared to be players of different (mostly Space Marine) factions. So basically nobody who likely wanted to actually play as Orks wanted Orks to function like this. Which supports the main reason I've used to refute this idea, if a faction relies on superior numbers to win then it's unlikely to retain the playercount necessary to actually win, because nobody plays pvp video games to be fodder for their enemies amusement.
Fair enough. I see your points. I personally would have played as fodder. Probably wouldn't main it over loyalists, but I'd play it regularly Another situation of gameplay over lore I guess
