Trucks should not do such weird stuff (about 0:20). No vehicle should. To come back to topic: that the matchmaking allows for overnumbers is - to put it nicely - unfortunate and there should be a mechanism to lock player numbers to +/- 1 at maximum. And yes, it is bad style to say "gg" then. If the underpopulated faction fought well, then "you played your bad hand very well, good job" or something like that would be more appropriate. And not shoving it under their noses that they had bad chances or none at all. I regularly oppose team members who say "gg" under such circumstances. A "gg" is only deserved when both factions had a fun and fair game.
during the test - was a warning - perhaps a long wait at this fraction. And the fraction in which there was a lot of players - for long awaited search for a match. This encouraged them to play for other fraction. And the games were more or less equal to the number of players. And now they are encouraged - you have a lot - then you win! it's disgusting. Let revert to the old system to the expectations of those who have a lot player. GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!! IT IS GGG!!!! Let this GGpeople - game does not work THESE Noobs considers it GG! At the start, there were 5 against 10. Then it became 10 against 15. WHY add another 5 Space Marine? WHAT FOR?
Because winning effortlessly against pitiful foes gets old and leads to debauchery.. And near constant nerfs lol. It also doesn't help that the games simply just result in a meaningless win. So a lot of rank 6 Eldar play their alts. I now have a rank 6 Eldar with nearly 1million requisition and 2 rank 5's and a rank 4 working on 5 on the other 3 factions. We're waiting for campaigns. Reason to keep fighting other than 'just because'.
Yeah if that happens at the beginning of the match, it's super annoying, not only for the team with less population but also for the team which has superior player numbers. Uneven battles are no fun for both sides. But how to prevent e.g. a warparty from quitting out, because that clunky warparty invite system needs you to opt out if you want to add a person which you don't have added on steam...or two guys accidentally quitted the queue and just realised that everyone else is jumping in the next match...so everybody quits out, make the warparty again etc without realising that now half a team is gone for one faction which got screwed by that action... Btw you cannot trust the population size at the end of the match. With a 10 man warparty we realised that everyone of us had a different scoreboard, some had an vastly uneven list and others had the apparently real and even list. I guess a lot of people quit out and depending on when your local machine syncs the info your scoreboard shows less than were actually in game.
It was more likely to show respect about you staying in the game I've been in a game where we started with about 10 chaos and only 1 ork, after a bit of chat on faction along the lines of "wtf do we do" the decision was just cap everything and get it over with as it "must have been a bug" then as we were doing the final point a bunch of orks joined but as we already had all the bases the game even with the influx of orks they couldn't win Bearing in mind I've only seen this myself once (usually i'm on the outnumbered side against LSM) a better decision would have been wait for more to join or cap one and wait for more to join since just winning isn't fun for the winner but a better solution would be the game going into pause mode until a minimum per side has been reached
Admittedly I've not discussed this with EC players in game but in other games I've played the "gg" is the equivalent of footballers shaking hands at the end of the match, has nothing to do with how good the game actually was As its an insincere platitude I personally don't bother with it but considering the context of the game mentioned I think its more likely meant as a platitude than an actual assessment of the game (possible i'm over thinking it I suppose)
Personally I just say gg at the end of every game, habit I kept from dota, I never really considered the possibility of it being insulting before, but I guess its better than losing a game as Eldar then the Eldar op spam comes along
GG is overused. And a little bland. When I congratulate an opponent I usually throw in a little fluffiness. "Well fought xenos scum." or "A valiant effort." "The Emperor does not smile upon us this day heretic, but we shall return! Well fought..."
