Why is this? I see in the Legion of choice thread that Black Legion is in last place, and I'm trying to understand why.

Black Legion is arguably the strongest of the traitor legions; it fields the largest amount of Chaos Astartes, has Abaddon leading them, they came from nothing to come out on top, etc., etc., yet I see a lack of support for them.

Brothers, explain yourselves! Why do you detest or support the Sons of Horus? What makes you love or loathe them? Should we not follow the strongest to victory, or at least allow them to batter our foes until our time to strike comes?

To me, they're kind of like the Chaos equivalent of the Ultramarines. They're kind of the poster boys for the faction so they have a little of everything at the cost of a strong personality. Plus, its hard to compete with Space Batman.

I would have to say The Black Legion is like the comparison towards Ultramarines.

Loyalist got ultramarines poster boys and we have black legion.

HOWEVER!

Black Legion is not as bad as it may seem comparing it to ultramarines, Black Legion dwindled near extinction, and yet they brought them self back from it by changing their approach and ways, they adapted and survived, abaddon is not even a primarch, and yet he is far more badass then a real one.

I find the comparison of The Black Legion to that disgusting collection of cannon fodder insulting.
