Why so much hate for Kannons?

Kannons can 1 shot you, I get it.
Kannons have a large AOE, I get it.
Kannons are very accurate, which is very un-Orky, I kinda get it

However, why does everyone hate them? The vast majority of times I get killed by a Kannon is when I'm shooting out a window or just standing still asking to be blown up. I even have a red triangle over my head pointing out where to shoot! As an area denial weapon that is what they are supposed to do. As long as I keep moving the Kannons rarely hit me.

Personally I love fighting Orks because they field so many Kannons. My Striking Scorpion or Swooping Hawk just tears them up. The Kannon is massive so you can't miss seeing it. They have a huge blind spot on their left side as the gun is just so big. Their 2 second charge time is more than enough to cut them down before they can fire back. They tend to get tunnel vision, don't have a chance in melee, and usually fire from very predictable spots, but that's mostly true with all heavy weapon classes. I do wish they were less accurate, but that's only because Ork IP is all about Dakka, Dakka, Dakka, not where the Dakka goes (so realistically, doesn't need to happen).

So why so much hate for Kannons?

It's the aoe even if you move even if you doge as long as even a part of you touches edge of splash (even when behind cover) you die. This is a major problem in fort Beatles and some times in hold the line.

Not so laughable. This effect provided by large AOE (actualy projectile hit ground behind cover). PC has the same but much less powerful (you wil not die) and easy to use (high projectile speed without falloff).

Firing at the same spot over and over.

The spot I am aiming for.

    Plasma Cannon to compare

Edit: PC even appears to have a slightly larger aoe as I can put the crosshair just next to the large nid in the front's leg that is sticking out and fire a shot and still hit the small nid on the left.

I have no problem with them speeding up the PC's projectile but the claim in the "THE KANNONS WHOLE AOE IS A OHKO" I've seen enough shots that do not kill to know this is baseless lies. Hell the PC does more on the edge of its AOE than the Kannon (280 vs 200)

Blast damage of 300 and Pen 80 is going to hurt alot, but it shouldn't 1 shot you (except maybe an Eldar, we are squishy). Won't that damage also go down the farther you are from the center of the blast?

Also, cover not protecting you from blasts happens with alot of weapons. Seems more like a bug, really hope it wasn't designed that way.

Edit: And...those pics of the Kannon and Plasma Cannon show up as I'm making this post :)

The 300 is the frag from the snapshot high speed hockey puck.
