Exactly! It'd solve so many o' dem issues wot wit' blokes complainin' 'bout th' weapons not bein' moddable and bein' bilge compared ta' uvva' weapons ye can get
I've said it lots of times now in various threads but ill say it again; The game is mediocre at its best and absolutely terrible at its worst. Gameplay is clunky, animations are amateurish, there is ALWAYS something terribly wrong with balance, netcode is bad, development time is abysmal, and worst of all they are charging AAA title prices for a halfway between Alpha/Beta with an in game cash shop full of unimpressive cosmetic items. Even being a founder, I don't see any realistic chance of a comeback, and after what EC has become I don't think i'll be sad to see it go.
The issues with the game have been stated in many different avenues, so I feel no need to echo them. I lost faith though, when those issues that have been around for MONTHS (longer in some cases), got ignored in favor of "game progression"- working blindly toward a console worthy product. Unfortunately, if they are not addressed, the same repetitive outcry will come from a new source- console gamers. If you thought PC reviews were harsh, this game (in its current state) will get ripped to shreds- but that's assuming people pay for it at that point. But I do have to add my obligatory complaint- Melee lock-on. What $%^&*() decided that a melee combatant shouldn't be able to miss at all?
Besides general gameplay and visual aspects that we've already agreed upon. The progression system. Having to use 3 different screens just to get a basic loadout, that takes you forever to get because you have to buy the gun, buy the attachments from a random drop box, wait until you get enough AP to level to gain basic passive bonuses and thats if you can even manage getting the basic gear you need from the lootboxes. I'm still using basic gear, because its taken me so long to actually get anything else.. The progression system is broken and keeps me feeling as though I'm not actually progressing at all.
I lose enjoyment usually when the enemy team goes for around 75% jump assaults. It gets annoying really fast.
So Behvr outsource 3D modelling, jesus do these guys actually do any work themselves? i think that's the problem here, they aren't actually a development studio at all, but a bunch of people blagging their way through and posing as such. Time for a career change me thinks Behvr, Mcdonalds are always hiring, but then that would actually require you to do some work. Disgusting!.
A development studio that has no 3D modellers isn't a development studio, what else don't they have? the more i learn about Bhvr and this game the more it looks like it was an elaborate con from the outset, they knew they couldn't pull this off from the start!. When EC goes under, and it will, i sincerely hope Bhvr goes under with it.
Same here. The game is not bad. It's instead very promising. But it has some big problems, of which melee is the biggest. And it's also heavily imbalanced when it's about classes and weapons. Once this is fixed then EC might start to be more attractive. Patches from here to xmas will be crucial, no discussion.
What you said about animations, modeling, and overall 40K feel... It just feels wrong when you see Orks are equal in number and individual effectiveness to LSM/CSM. Same goes for non-aspect Eldar and such. The list goes on an on
We have non-aspect Eldar? I mean, Warlocks aren't Aspect Warriors. But to compare them to Guardians is like comparing Space Marines to Guardsman.
