Well I just broke my personal record for xp (and i think kills) with 100% standard bolter tac, heavy barrel, textured grip and box mag. Against orks no less.
This is the second time I've seen someone mention a 'heavy barrel' for the ASC. Mine doesn't have a heavy barrel, it has a 'compensator' and various other things.
Pics or it didn't happen Seeing as there's not any real recoil on the MC ASC it's a strong choice I think.
Ahh... That's surely not in a 30k box?! I use the Compensator. Alongside the Mastercrafted ASC it reduces the horizontal spread to... 9. I can't remember what the numbers are meant to actually represent. Degrees? 9 degrees.
I knew it was something to do with degrees. How strange. Not at home to check, but I'll look again when I get home. Could swear I do not have that and I've got everything from the 5k boxes. I've no doubt just missed it somehow.
Its funny because when I play LSM every now and again its like magic The bolters are so accurate, and I'm so used to the ork guns its surreal to me. Really I see no issue with the bolters as they are, if you can't get anything done with them right now the problem is you not the system.
The bolter is fine if you can get headshots every single shot, otherwise you're going to fall behind in the DPS race. Feels wrong that a weapon should only be viable against its competitors when you're getting headshots but eh, whatever. It's usable.
