It's meant to point out how people lack the understanding of numerical values when applied to this game. In this regard, it's how the base increase of 20 armour to a faction can have a larger practical implication than it seems it should have on paper.
Ah yes, I have to agree. Many just write it off as 1 or 2 bolter rounds, thats like nothing. But they don't take into account that no one is just standing their while getting hit with max shots, everyone is dodging and weaving and weapons don't have no spread. It's why I think its more effective than many give it credit for.
I personally play CSM and SM and i don't think they need a Armor buff, their Bolt WEAPONS buffs for sure though. Orks need Armor decrease if no weapon buffs..
You certainly do, dear. You certainly do. Don't worry, I don't think they've quite caught on to the Plasma cannon yet.
My aim and latency does not do the Plasma Cannon justice, so i hardly use it tbh... Personally think its the domain of the super fast internet twitch crowd...
Yeah you really need super fast internet speeds to sling balls of death with a huge explosion radius at groups of enemies that instant kills everything.
To be fair, it's on a Tac, it doesn't matter if we're talking Traitor or Tactical...the whole class is a suicide pact in melee regardless of wargear. If they ever get around to removing durability damage on successful RPS counterplay, and perhaps buffing the knife durability, then they will likely come out to about even. If not, then a larger analyzation is in order for a more complete discussion on the matter. Unfortunately, I haven't played my CSM alt, or really any of my alts, since launch. So with that fact, it's rather hard for me to come up with a true opinion without knowing the LP cost of MoN, the LP cost of pretty much all the other available CSM wargear that can go with it, and without doing some damage calculations. So that's also something to take into account. Still, let's take a more common sense approach to this topic, for argument's sake. At the end of the day, a CSM Traitor can be ranged or melee and not lose their ability to cap. An LSM Tactical, doesn't have this advantage. So, one could argue that the LSM Tactical's armor piece, if actually better, is somewhat justified by the argument of asymmetrical balance. CSM get the MoN, with a stamina regen drawback (which again, let's be fair, is an arguable drawback in and of itself) that still provides protection, but they also can take an entirely melee version of their capping unit. Let alone the fact they get other marks. The LSM get 0nly the Tactical, with an (arguably) better durability potential, but cannot spec himself for melee at all.
