Why I Fear The "f2p Ork Boyz" Model Could Fail.

Something to think about is why are we all talking about F2P orks when we all know the F2P Orks are the ones that aren't on the forums following this game etc. anyone who wants to play orks will most likely buy them and there're are always F2P players that pick up any F2P game. (Speaking from experience in that)
If the game is good and it integrates these F2P players into community then they'll love it stay play for free and maybe even end up buying it.

I consider my self to be one of the F2P ork.

I'll be checking if the game is good in the first few days as F2P Ork Boy, and determine if the game is worth buying or investing in or not.

GW video games has a bad history and i have fallen for each and every one of them this time I've learnt my lesson.

The few games that were good in the numerous GW IP games that came out are: DOW series, Warhammer 40k Chaos Gate and SpaceMarine. the rest were mediocre or insanely bad. the funny thing is the good games that I mentioned were all by THQ sadly they are no more.

I'm interested in seeing how much player skill is actually involved in order to be "good". If it's very important, then I wonder how viable it would be for some very skilled twitch players to do well with an F2P account.

The combat footage I saw looked a bit slow, so I don't know if being a strong twitch gamer would be enough to compensate.

Its a good model all things considered, the idea is good and transparent enough to have a go figure moment, its safeguared by being free trial unlimited one and not f2p.

Those who see it as F2P and go on a rampage of whatever are obvious retards with no reading capability or common sense who are there for the drama, or to stir some up because someone kicked his butt somewhere in some way.

In even the brightest of things there are always fears, i have a cure for cancer, it has no backlash or side effects during the course of time of one being cured of it, and in some way someone will make arguments of how truly bad this cure will be, always some fear in some way or somehow, employ the idea, as it is sound, and then try and cope with any failings as time shows them that is all there is to it.

It's a brilliant mechanic idea. Play a game like Planetside 2 and free to play or not, it devoves into huge zergs. F2p ork boyz players will be fine because they will just do what People (& orks!) naturally do. It harnesses normal eventualities. They compliment eachother so well that you'd think they were made for eachother.
  7. i hop the tutorial for the orks and the f2waaaagh ork rill point out that they need to stick to gather for there orky buffs and orky tactics to work.

Yes, because the orks are known for their combat discipline and parade-ground precision formations. :p

True they generally suck at combat discipline but Kommandos and Stormboyz are exceptions.
