Why Don't Craftworld Eldar Rely On Other Alien Mercenaries?

Although I think I already know the answer, I wanted to ask this to the community: why don't CWE rely on other alien (non-eldar) mercenaries as living meat shield? I can understand that they don't trust the mon-keigh for this kind of job (because of their unpredictability and strong vulnerability to Chaos), but why not use the kroots or the vespids as the tau do? It is possible that a craftworld, may be not as xenophobic as Biel-Tan or excessively proud as Saim-Hann, but most like Lugganath (nest of corsairs and renegades), would do such a thing in order to save more eldar lifes on the battlefield?

Your knowledge/ideas about this topic interests me :)

I think I've read somewhere that Ghazghull Thraka was actually kind of 'created' by Eldrad Ulthran and that he made him go on the Armageddon and fight the Imperium. So you know, why pay them if you can just make them do something :D

Regarding races other than greenskins, well, even if they managed to get in contact with, would they trust them to do their job? And if they did do their job, with what exactly should they pay? Eldar are not very keen on giving up their technology.

Kroots could be paid by letting them eat the foes flesh :D But I understand your point, just wondering if there wasn't any known exemple of durable alliance between an eldar craftworld and another alien species.

But aren't the Tau far away from the Eldar craftworlds? so they're hard to contact etc? I've never seen a story or something from the lore where Tau and Eldar have met face to face.

He was not created by Eldrad , but Eldrad did draw him away from attacking the craftworlds and directed him towards Armageddon;)

Iyanden, Ultramarines and succesor chapters and Tau are "close" but I don't know any story about Eldar and Tau.

The inverted commas aren't there for no reason. And besides, I think he helped with messing in his head :p

Durable alliances, probably not. However, as long as the job gets done nad done well, it doesn't have to be any more durable than that.

The fact is, there isn't that much written about such cases. To me, the idea of craftworlders employing either kroot mercs or even human ones (by proxy) is perfectly normal - eldar do have a variety of things other races may want, from psychic intelligence and lore to, well, whatever stuff the corsairs pillage through the galaxy and sell at the craftworlds. The thing is, if eldar want auxiliaries their first choice would likely be their own kin - the corsair warbands.

Eldar don't pay, they lie and manipulate people like puppets.
