Well to be fair aiming down sights with a helmet on is impossible. And in the lore space marines have a targeting reticule on their HUD that follows their gun precisely, which is why they usually fire from the hip.
I use smart pistols on my tactical and Apothecary loadouts, this allows me to safely assist my allies when they are engaged in melee. Why the hell should I not do this?
Only way you get rid of smart pistols is by removing target lock entirely, and there's little chance of that happening.
unless your a JPA, i feel like your hurting yourself taking a smart pistol due to the lower dmg and innaccuracy of where it locks on. Particulary against orks where 70% of the shots go above their head.
no idea but that thing is a beast and hurts like hell, the poision stacking really hurts. a painboy with that is really hard to beat in melee.
