Why are eldar still fast base and squishy ?

What do you think of eldar and what can be done about them ?

    I'm not bashing just questioning. Hear me out on this don't jump to conclusions please.

    Eldar animations and stuff being fast I can understand but why do they have higher base movement speed as well? Why not lower their movement speed to the same level as everyone else and at the same time raise their survival? Make the bonus movement speed a wargear kinda like MoS for chaos call it fleet of foot. They'll keep their faster animations and smaller hitbox base line since they are to be nimble and they would have to spend some LP to get the bonus movement but the overall survival would be brought up some while at the same time they wouldn't be such a pain in the ass to fight as others.

    The no.1 complaint I hear from non eldar players is how bs the hitbox+speed is while the no.1 complaint I hear from eldar players is about how squishy they are. Lowering the movement speed to everyone else, Keeping the current animation speed *fast vaulting and whatnot* and boosting the survival of the eldar and making the movement speed a wargear... It would technically be a buff to eldar baseline while keeping them about as they are now due to having to spend some of the LP used for other things on the movement speed.

    Before someone comes in and says asymmetrical balance bla bla bal.. I'm coming in here with this because a LOT of new players I've spoke to in game on all factions are unhappy how fighting as and against eldar feel.... The base speed being slowed down and survival coming up addresses both sides issues with the faction while having the speed on a wargear would allow players to keep the speed they have now if they really wanted it.

    @Asheru I'm poking you because I know this is a subject you would actually weigh in on as you main Eldar... Also if you can think of a better name for the post feel free to change it... I had a brain fart and couldn't come up with a accurate name for the post.

    Points from the post.

    -Raise eldar toughness to about tactical level
    -Reduce movement speed of eldar to same level as everyone else *keep the fast animations for vaulting/turning and whatnot along with the slender hitbox*
    -Make the movement speed a wargear like MoS for chaos just without the penalty *150 lp for 30% movement speed basically* Call it fleet of foot

    What prompted me to post this was I played my eldar a little last night *shocker* and yea.. I don't really enjoy playing as my eldar... Or playing against it.... In general I find everything about them unfun and it usually boils down to the survival... Raising the survival baseline while dropping the speed is the area I honestly feel would be the best starting point to fixing that.

    You didn't even read the original post... Go back read the post and then edit your response... I couldn't come up with a good name for the damn post so cut me some slack.

    My only issue with their speed is that I can abuse the slow turn rate of marines/orks by getting close and spinning to their back. You are literally screwed at that point as I can just run to the side and you'll never catch up.

    Honestly, these new boys just need to get good. Outside of the turn speed abuse I can't think of any time I was murdering these newbies with Eldar because I was fast. They just don't know EC's tactics yet, or melee at all, which is why they die in droves. Good Eldar just make it happen faster.

    If there had to be a change I'd rather speed up turn rates for everyone else so my above issue is solved.

    Also, if there had to be an overall change to Eldar speed I'd rather have it their sprinting speed gets the 15% speed boost instead of all movement and zog the fleet of foot wargear idea. Eldar already have limited load outs there is no need to further complicate that with an almost mandatory wargear slot.
