why are eldar considered op?

Honestly I am impressed that they could get it up there haha, grav tanks ok I can see them getting in weird places. But a predator? Just wow

Blocking parts of the map with tanks is super scummy, the devs should have had this sorted before release, but then the game got rushed out and they had to make do.

Dire Avenger has some high dps. We have smaller hitboxes (as we should), latency makes that a problem. People complain about Warlocks melee/heal even though they have poison and nearly instant healing that works differently, as it should (Embolden stacking was BS though). New players don't know how to counter Swooping Hawks. Fire Dragons get meltas at level 1, which makes it easier for eldar to counter vehicles. Banshees before the recent patches were probably on par as the best melee class, that isn't the case so much anymore, considering they are barely played to begin with.

Everyone can whine about Eldar tanks running them over and exploits for all I care (Devs still can't patch invisible walls so they add more barriers LOL) . I don't think I can ever roll SM for any long period of time, your community is so bitchy its insane. Meanwhile you have Plasma spam, Shield Bros, better tank DPS, and are getting an armor buff in the next patch. Please learn to use teamwork with your fellow teenager SM players before coming to this thread to complain from one side of the fence.

  3. I think the only real strong thing about the Eldar is their ability to control the vehicle situation. Combination of fast agile tanks + fire dragons that kill tanks in seconds allows the Eldar to quickly remove the mobile spawnpoints. This forces the other team to run to the point. At which point they get run over by fast grav tanks.

Other than that we don't do as much damage, we don't have very versatile weapons/loadouts. We have nothing convenient that works on long ranges. And the Eldar speed is highly overrated. Yes it gets you out of a bind now and then but most of the time when you get into melee, you're dead. and with the low defences, it also take only a couple of shots.

I think there's an error in your math if I'm reading this right. First part I bolded is the math on time it takes to pen a SM's armor with a Bolter, yes? Second part is time to pen an Eldar with a Bolter, yes? If so, why using the same weapon does it take longer to pen something with less total armor and less toughness? You also have to factor in that the first shot has no delay beforehand as well in these calculations and you'll have fired n+1 shots in a given period of time.

Please read what I had fully posted. The fire rate is what made the difference. The reason why I put the bolter in there was to give a demonstration of the combat effectiveness of LSM compared to Eldar weapons.

    Just remember.

In all of that, you said our teamwork is op.

I'm never letting anyone forget that LSMs actually believe teamwork is OP.

    You can bet on it.

The only thing that seems to be abused in open ground terrain is Vehicle roadkill and Fire Dragon taxi.

Fire Dragons do their Job VERY well, Ram an enemy vehicle, (It doesn't even matter if it's a fully manned predator or war wagon), unload at least 2 fire dragons and it's dead 100% of the time. Lawn mower anyone that gets out, rinse and repeat.

The only other thing people (Loyalist) complain about is how hard it is to melee Eldar due to their speed. The only faction that has this issue appears to be Loyalist because they both don't have a broken melee aspect (Orks - to be fair it's broken both ways for them) and have no speed bonus to catch up with them (Slaanesh Mark).

Aside from that, Early Game - Level 1-3 Eldar have crappy toughness and usually die pretty quick.
Are they annoying? Hell yes, Are Eldar OP? Not really.

Personally I'd like to see an HP drop in exchange for Eldar getting back some firepower and getting their Shurikan Cannon fixed for long range duty and not just mid-short range.

Any other complaints are for exploits and shitty behavior from some pugs. Nothing new there.

Keep the stats, just wait till the tank maps where the objectives are out in the open instead of cramped rooms. Eldar don't need long range Shurikens (it's very much against the archetype), we need more chances to get into firefights the Eldar are apt to lose, like the bridge between Alpha and Bravo on Pegasus. Bolters outclass Shurikens here by quite a bit.
