We already have vets. The war gear was already being tested last patch before launch. My Vet Slugga has 275hp, 125 armor 125 toughness. That's not much better than my normal Slugga build of 285HP 100 Armor 100 Toughness but 30% faster Armor regen delay. It doesn't help. Veterans are not magically super tough. They end up taking 1-3 more bolter shots to take down then a normal class, on average. This gun is doing almost 3 times the damage per shot as a Bolter right now.
Ehm... no. The fact that this weapon exists with the stats it has is justification for us to complain of lack of balance.
No and why? Whats with this moronic idea that everyone should be equal to everyone else? People who have played longer than you will have better gear and better guns. Thats just a fact of a game that has a levelling system. Learn to deal with it by levelling up as well.
I think your missing the point that this weapon is cutting down fully geared vets and rank 5 players like they are running naked in the battlefield...
By that same logic the plasma cannon is OP because 1 plasma ball will knock that Hawk into the next century. Just 1 hit, not even the 5 or 6 hits the Hawk is putting on the enemies. This game has always had a low TTK, you just have to adjust your play style to stay alive. If someone is shooting at you, melee them to interrupt those bullets. If someone is meleeing you, run and shoot. Get healers to support you, use heavy classes to suppress enemies. If you do die, whatever, just respawn and try again.
Seriously, you're going to compare this gun to a plasma cannon? I mean, sure, the PC is powerful, but I've yet to actually get killed by one while I was paying attention. If a Hawk, that can fly faster than a PC shot, gets shot down, he should uninstall the game and play something else. (ninja'd by the Doctor )
Oi! I waz neked! Et waz a gud plan at da time. Shok an Waagghh wez call et! I ran into this gun..not on purpose. Myself and my computer did not register being dead til a few minutes later it killed me so fast. I was thrown back in time... Still drives me nuts I get facerolled by the pouncy eldar in Melee with my Slugga though.
