Are we trying to determine this TT wise and think their strengths equivalent to their TT counterparts or are we going just 100% pure lore, feth there representations in the TT?
Let's see here... Abbadon and Calgar overestimate themselves highly because of their nature, while Eldrad would be curbstomped if he gets the lower hand, and Thrakka is... well, he's Thrakka, holy shit. I'd give this to either Eldrad of Thrakka. Eldrad is a clever and tricky little fairy, and has powerful psychic abilities to boot. Thrakka however, has sheer force and brutal cunning on his side, being arguably the most intelligent ork there is. Calgar could probably give em all a rough fight with his massive power gauntlets however, but would ultimately lose if its a 4 player free-for-all. Abbadon has no arms.
Seriously, the next person to say Abaddon is useless really needs to read up on their lore... Things Abby has going for him: Cataphractii Terminator armour, warded and runed. Blessing of all 4 Gods, including Tzeentch and Khorne. (Along with armour, makes him nigh untouchable with psychic powers) The most powerful daemon sword in the galaxy. Horus' weapon that killed Sanguinius and (basically) killed the Emperor. Tabletop wise, and this is tested, Abbadon wins every one else. In a best of 3 against Thraka, Abbadon won 2-1, no one else was a challenge to him.
The Necrons do not have any Psykers, period. Their greatest enemy is the Immaterium itself, along with the powerful psyker races. Their unique units such as Monoliths and Crypteks do not utilize psyker powers- Necron technology is so incredibly advanced that even the Eldar can only perceive it as magical powers, when in reality it is simply the most advanced technology in W40K. Don't even get started on Gauss Weaponry.
ya know, maybe we could get all 4 together in a tabletop 4 way and play through several matches (get a good data set) and see who would come out on top
Already tested it over Vassal (Because I'm a nerd), The Warmaster wins every one hands down in rounds of 3, except Thraka where it was 2-1 to Abby.
Don't worry, t'is mostly just jokes, him having lost so many Black Crusades and all. A legit wonder is why he hasn't become a Daemon Prince yet though. Has this been covered in the lore and I've just missed it, or is there another reason? Also, gotta ask out of interest, have you ever tested Swarmlord vs. Abbadon? I heard Swarmlord tended to win before.
He doesn't want to, since he doesn't want to stick to one particular god, and his hatred keeps him going. I believe ADB will go over it in more detail in Talon of Horus, can't wait to read it.
