"The Immaterium (also referred to as the Empyrean, the Aether, the Sea of Souls, the Realm of Chaos, Warpspace or most commonly, the Warp) is an alternate dimension of purely psychic energy that echoes and underlies the familiar four dimensions of the material universe. It is the source of all psychic powers and known instances of so-called "sorcery" or "magic" as well as the home dimension of the Chaos Gods and their myriad daemonic servants. The Winds of Magic, called the Aethyr in Eltharin, is the name given by magic users for the invisible currents of magical energy which flow across the world. The source of all the Winds of magic come from the elements of the world each wind of which can be used to create spells which are characteristic of the elemental nature of the magic being used. Human wizards and Gnome conjurers can only use a single color of magic without being corrupted, thus each of The Empire's Colleges of Magic are centered around the use of only one wind of magic. Elf and Slann magic users are more proficient and are able to use the full spectrum. Comes from elements of the world. Not warp. Only similarity is the naming of 'aethyr' and even then it at least has different spelling than 'aether'
Nids have Zoanthropes which are literally psykers incarnate. And Necrons have towers that shoot psychic energy at your face to blow you up.
Zoanthropes use a hightened form of telekenisis, they aren't drawing that power from the warp IIRC (never a chance of possession, demons or anything) and monoliths just use gauss flayers. Energy based, again not drawn from the warp. In fact, the warp is anathema to necrons. It represents rampant life and creation, where the necrons want stillness and death....generally speaking. They are a bit more complicated now.
Erm...Wots this sorcery...Probably science to meh. Yeh, I don't know this magic...Heck in the table games I don't even do anything about physic stuff. Bleh.
He killed an underling, defeated him in open war by distracting him, but never fought him 1v1 and ended up victorious. Pretty sure the first time they did fight eachother, guzkhull tore his arm off =/
