Who Would Win....

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by StevenLumpkin, Oct 17, 2013.

  1. Though I loathe to admit it I say Abbadon for a very personal reason...

It was winter of 2011 when I was working snow removal (wooo Canada) with a good friend of mine who also plays 40k. Due to the nature of our work I spent a lot of time at his place because it was easier to have us both in the same place. It was on this night that we decided to play a 40k battle, but my army (Dark Eldar FTW!!!!!) was at my place so he said I could use one of his. While it went against everything I stand for I chose his Space Marines (who were Ultramarines *Shudder*) and made a Salamanders themed army with them (well I had Vulkan and flamers at least) and he chose his Chaos army, battle commenced...

Despite me playing an unfamiliar army against one of his best I thought I was doing alright (especially because I decided to have some fun and drop 400 points on a full terminator squad with thunder hammers and storm shields), enter Abbadon. Now I knew this was a guy with whom not to f*** (especially since I know his fluff) but I figured my terms stood the best chance out of anything in my army...he charged me...with 16 (a few had died) Khorne berzerkers in tow...Abbadon now has (essentially) about 20 wounds in total and wielding his giant rape stick...I don't like Abbadon, but he would win.

Abbadon will definetly crush all his foes!

Abbadon is a good choice, but you never know if Eldrad will call for his pal Asdrubael Vect to crash the party.
And who says Ghazghkull Thraka wouldn't throw in a few Waaagh!s as well?

....I REALLY need to see a 40k battle with all the above four. Only seen them separately.

I'll bet my money on Ghazghkull. Eldrad's perception of the future is great, but he see's possible alternate endings, which is what he saw in his fight with Abaddon, allowing him to be victorious. Calgar is a beast, so he would be my 2nd pick in the fight. Abaddon's main down fall is that he is far to over confident at times, which typically leads to his failures/short comings.

Eldrad. Gazghkull, Calgar, and Abaddon would duke it out, tire themselves out, and one would end up winning. Then they'd trip over a rock the farseer placed 100 years ago when he foresaw this battle, and the fall would kill the wounded warrior.

Meanwhile, on Ulthwe, Eldrad would rub his hands with sadistic glee.

A bomb? What does that mean?

Eh, Ultras were cool before ward. Not terribly interesting being default marines, but cool.

Then again, with newest lore coming in, all chapters seem to be getting less interesting.

I thought about this as soon as i saw the newsletter....
Eldrad Ulthran, Gazghkull Thrakka, Magneus Calgar, and Abaddon the Despoiler
Eldrad vs Abaddon = Abaddon with only a minor sweat broken. Has the blessing of the Dark Gods, added to the Deamon weapons he has and being a Space Marine for over 10000 years? Abaddon all the way

Calgar vs Gazghkull= Gazghkull with some dented armour, an evill grin and a new 'ead for da trophy rack! Calgar (being a ultramarine) is a brilliant stagious but i dont think in a one on one he could match the Beast of Armageddon dirty trick for dirty trick not in straight on combat.

Gazghkull vs Abaddon = with the chaff brushed aside two of the greatest champions stalk towards each other, Abaddon with a new scream echoing from the chours leaking off his axe blade and Gazghkull, with an evil lear barely decernable under his tusks and iron jaw, smash into one another. The winner, you ask?

Calgar has infinite plot armour. He would definitly win.

Good point even though i am leaning towards Abbadon here considering: THIRTEEN CRUSADES (with no arms) and he STILL isn't dead...

His plot armor may be superior
