And what should we call our council? I think we should test our aspiring leaders by having them battle each other in other warhammer games =p Also I think we should try to avoid having them all in the same guild, just in case!
Other Warhammer games don't have the same gameplay mechanics as Eternal Crusade is said to contain. Choosing council members through this method is highly inefficient.
The closest Warhammer 40,000 game we currently have to Eternal Crusade is THQ's Space Marine and why there are many similarities such as Factions, weapons stated to be in-game and the third person combat perspective we have seen through the streams, Space Marine is kind of lacking when it comes to inbuilt leadership mechanics, resources and a Planetary campaign on a grand scale. The best duelest in Space Marine could be elected or appointed to be part of the War council on Eternal Crusade and turn out to be a complete novice when it comes to micromanaging, economics, battlefield strategy etc. In my opinion it would be worthwhile to keep the positions open until atleast the open beta... Unless you'd wish to promote me now then I'll take that honour most graciously As for the name of the council I'll expect it to be called the Seer council regardless of it being lore accurate.
Well I may not be a Eldar, panzees , You could use the Dawn of War games too determine strategic level since both sides would choose Eldar and fight it out with a mass of troops at their disposal you could also do the assassinate gametype too play as their character?. And Space Marine could be determine their 3rd person battle skill?
the name of the council should fall in line with fluff and that the "Council of Autarch" in fluff pushed a race wide ruling to increase Aspect Warrior numbers. So there you have it the War Council should be called "Council of Autarch" As for who I am going to wait till we are able to see how things fall at launch personally, until a commander has been tested and proven in the field any nominations will be mute.
Anyone who's had experience with organising groups on Planetside 2 would be a good nominee for the war council. Seeing as there are going to be lots of time zones and languages that will need to be catered for other criteria for council members will need to be considered other than strategic prowess. Its no good being an awesome strategist if you haven't got the leadership skills to motivate people. I hoping that the war council will be pretty dynamic with its size varying inline with the online population (don't want to many chiefs not enough Indians). There may be some semi-permanent members but it would be unfair on everyone if there were "reserved" slots on the council. It should work out that if you wanted a shot it wouldn't be to difficult to get on the council. It will probably quite difficult to get volunteers for the council after a few months after release, it will probably be like herding cats.
Why did you quote my post saying that competing in other Warhammer games would be inefficient and then suggest we should compete in a Warhammer game? So we need cat herders.
Because you said it would be inefficient when I believed otherwise and thought you should understand why.
