sevatar :u because that chain glaive is so badass (also, anyone else noticing that a lot of the first captain like people of the heresy have psychic powers :X?)
and for the dante fan there, a quote! "In the time of ending, we will see the final flight of the Dead Angel's Host. They rise above us on howling wings. They fall upon us in a celestial storm. At their vangaurd flies the Last Archangel. To the Neverborn, he will be the Death-that-Soars. To you and I, he will be a mortal man bearing the immortal face of his fallen father. To the Imperium of Man, he will be hope. A warrior of infinite courage. A soldier of infinite sorrows. Beware the golden mask that forever stares and never smiles, weeping tears of frozen gold." -Extract from 'The Mourner's Prophecies', Sargon Eregesh, Storm Oracle of the Black Legion (I wouldn't necessarily call Dante a "legionary" though (*points at thread title*))
Bravo my good man Bravo. Interesting to see we're light on the Loyalist legions in here....though that said 99% of the books written about Loyalists are about how Ultramarines commanded the Imperiums defences throughout the entire Heresy so it's unsurprising to see a lack of variety spawns a lack of popularity.
Not really; I mean Ultramar wasn't even a strategically vital position and most of the attacks against it were vengeance attacks but weirdly it seems Girlyman will be around for the seige of Terra which just spanner in the works everything they already retconned Calth to happen before SoT. If you add up all the books focusing on the Ultramar offensive specifically Calth, there are more books that focus specifically on the battle for Calth and the consequences of such than there are books that speak in detail about/focus on the Istvaan atrocity.
Does anyone have any good books about Istvaan and the battle there? i would love to read them, like Vulkan Lives i'm gonna read that too.
The first 5 books of the HH series. Covers all of that; I would read them before Vulkan Lives because most of what happens in the book is after Istvaan
