That's true.. Dorn would be closer to perfect if he wasn't so damn hot-headed and easy to get carried away. You could make him lose an entire chapter just by giving him a momma joke. Even after the end of the Horus Heresy when everyone was trying to pull their shit together Dorn was disappeared chasing heretics around. Not that this didn't help clean the galaxy a bit but still...

Horus was the best primarch thats why he was chosen as warmaster...... but horus himself said it should of been Sanguinius, some Primarchs desputed Horus as the best as warmaster, thinking maybe themselves should of been chosen..e.g the Lion, Perterabo, Dorn ? in unremembered empire the guiliman, lion Concedes to Sanguinius, sanguinius becomes empreror of imperium secundis, also seeing Horus and the rest of trator primarchs fell to chaos they can not be in contention as best Primarch due to turning their backs on the imperium, the great crusade and their purpose as leaders of space marine legions... as for the loyalists..the lion can not control his home planet let alone the imperium, the kahn spends to much time fighting the eldar in webways very little involvement with other primarchs, dorn a good leader but no respect from his brothers, vulkan, ferus, corax lost in combat and lost most of their troops against better leaders, Russ too savage most where afraid of him, Guilliman without a dought the best leader but far from best warrior.... Guilliman wrote the Codexes organised reforming of near all original legions into the chapters they are today. - so to conclude Horus was the best he fell to chaos........Sanguinius was his succsesor.......after the Herasy it was Guiliman

The 'best' Primarch depends upon what you guys mean The most loyal - Russ The best leader - Sanguinius The best commander - Horus The best fighter - Russ and if the 'best' is the best, he would truley survive the heresy.... So im putting Russ's name up there
