I like most of the Primarch but of course I would have to put the Wolf King Russ as my top favorite, not because he's perfect or the strongest, or wisest or undefeated but because of one reason: he can hold his drink!

Not to mention that he seemed to care about the common man a bit more than the rest and I respect that! The fact that he left behind a legion of space wolves that stood up against the Inquisition and Grey Knights also strokes my rebel side quite nicely.

*holds a big middle finger to the Inquisition* FETH YOU PANSIES! *passes out due to alcohol intoxication*

On a more serious note, I do like the Inquisition (Inquisitor novels anyone?) but I like the Space Wolves and Russ more for being down to earth. :D

the entire book series "the beast arise" explain exactly that don't work.
in the imperium after the horus heresy, nobody is capable of assembly an army capable of stop the beast.

The result is a imperium devastated by infight and politics: because nobody have the power of mantain the order and react to a real menace.

what is stopping the imperium to assembly a sufficent force to stop the invasion? the imperium.

the real menace is not the ork waagh but the new rulers of the imperium.

Other then that horrible genetic flaw that causes any and all successor attempts to end in mutation and madness...

And the fact that he wouldn't let grudges go. He was short sighted and arrogant and over proud.

*than (couldn't help myself, sorry :D)

I agree with everything you said!

Reason why I like Russ and the Space Wolves even more is due to their flaws! Yes they're arrogant, proud and drunkards even savages that will tear your throat but that's what I love about them! Muahahah! :p

Seriously, if they were the picture of perfection I'd commit suicide by pissing on the side of the Golden Throne. o_O

Flawless characters are boring as hell. Gimme a character that struggles with his flaws and maybe even has the possibility to grow over time (maybe), muuuch more interesting in my humble opinion.

We can see what a primarch can do in Calth.

Alone against 2 Legions, be betrayed. Still he managed to make flee their enemies follow them to their location and make a full attack.

A mastermind, an excellent warrior who faced 2 primarch (overwhelmed by Angron, yes) and whom empire is better that the one that belongs to the Emperor.

I wish Corax just got a little more attention. Kind of contradictory though since he intentionally shunned attention. I just don't feel like he'd really represented as a primarch at times, kind of like how Perturabo isn't represented as a creative and intelligent primarch when it's quite the opposite. Corax beat Guilliman in tactics at least once, equalled Horus more or less in terms of fighting ability, cared for the freedom of humanity, and ran his legion with a sense of pragmatism and independence. The Ultramarines are pragmatic, but they rely heavily on command structure. Raven Guard are highly independent. When Dorn wanted to sit on Terra and wait for Horus, Corax wanted to adapt to the situation and exploit weakness. He help weaken Horus' fleet and supply lines before the assault on Terra.

He played a big part in helping defend Terra, but he's rarely brought up because he didn't do it in a standard 'space marine standard on something firing into heretic' method. He staged rebellions and fought for the people who had already been given up as lost.

the wiki says something about there being some unknown primarchs is there any info on them whatsoever?

They're there for people to make their own chapters with. Intentionally blank

  9. that would be "own Legiones", but yes they are blank on purpose;

although throughout Horus Heresy series there are hints of what have happened to them

Games Workshop did not have legion rules at the time. They were there for player made chapters since nothing took place in 30k for a while. Those chapters obviously descended from a legion, but the mechanic was there for the creation of chapters.
